Seongsu café open till 10pm: tiramisu soufflé, hibiscus tea at 5to7

In short

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a large soufflé café in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, set in a converted house near Seoul Forest that uses all three floors. From a wooden table on the 3rd floor, the writer ordered the tiramisu soufflé (20,000 won) with Sunny Peach Tea and Hibiscus Tea, and the soufflé came out warm and fluffy, baked fresh after ordering. Since 5to7 stays open until 10 p.m., it works well for a late visit after dinner in Seongsu.

I was looking for a soufflé spot in Seongsu and ended up at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch ☕️ It's near Seoul Forest, and since it's set in a converted house, the atmosphere was really unique.

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch: a converted house with three floors of seating

Even from the outside it has that cozy house feel, and stepping inside it was bigger than I expected. Since it's a large café spanning the 1st to 3rd floor, the seating felt quite spacious.

Third-floor wooden seats, and why 10 p.m. closing helps

Each floor had a slightly different mood, and we settled on the 3rd floor. The wooden interior there was especially pretty 🌿 There's that warm feeling unique to wood, so the whole space felt cozy. Photos turned out lovely from every angle too, so it'd work well as a date café 📸

One thing I really liked was that it's open until 10 p.m. It's the kind of place you could visit after having dinner in Seongsu with time to spare, and it'd also be nice for a late-night date.

5to7 Seongsu menu: soufflé flavors and drinks

Looking at the menu, there were quite a few soufflé varieties 🥞 From fruit soufflés to tiramisu to matcha, there's plenty to choose from depending on your taste. The drink menu ranged from coffee to tea, so it was nice to pair something with the soufflé ☕️

And it turns out 5to7 Seongsu was even featured on 'Saturday Is Good with Bab' 📺 Hearing that it appeared on TV as a soufflé specialty spot made me even more curious about it 🥞

The three things we ordered at 5to7

That day we ordered three things:

  • Tiramisu Soufflé
  • Sunny Peach Tea
  • Hibiscus Tea

Once everything was laid out together, it looked really pretty ✨ True to being a soufflé specialty spot, the main dessert had solid presence.

Tiramisu soufflé, 20,000 won

The tiramisu soufflé was the item I was most looking forward to. It had mascarpone cream topped with premium chocolate powder, plus a coffee sauce, so it really did taste like tiramisu. The soufflé is made right after you order, so it had that warm, fluffy texture I loved. Eating it with the soft cream, it was sweet with a subtle hint of coffee aroma 🤎 Piling the fluffy soufflé with plenty of cream turned out to be a great combination. It was ₩20,000.

Sunny Peach Tea

Sunny Peach Tea has a sweet peach aroma 🍑 Since the soufflé was on the sweeter side, drinking this alongside it paired well. It also has that fresh peach tartness, which made it nice to drink with dessert. The color was pretty too, adding a nice accent to the whole spread in photos.

Hibiscus Tea

Hibiscus Tea had that distinct tart, refreshing hibiscus flavor. Eating it alongside the sweet soufflé, it felt like it cleaned up the palate. Personally, this kind of tart tea suits me well when eating dessert 🌺

There's also a private restroom!

Is 5to7 Seongsu worth a visit? Final verdict

True to being a soufflé specialty spot, 5to7 really caught the eye visually. With cream and toppings on the soufflé, it photographed beautifully 📸 Even on video the fluffy texture came through, so it seemed like a solid dessert for social media too.

The café space was also bigger than expected. Being a converted house, it has a different feel from typical large cafés. The 3rd-floor wooden interior in particular was exactly my style. It's a warm, comfortable atmosphere that would work well with friends or as a date spot.

If you're looking for a café near Seoul Forest, this is a good one to check out. Best of all, it's open until 10 p.m., so there's real merit to visiting after dinner 🌙 Recommended if you're looking for a late-night café in Seongsu or craving a soufflé dessert.
