Seoul Forest coffee shop with moka pot americano and fig soufflé: 5to7

Missing out on soufflé cake during my Japan trip had been bugging me for a while... so this time Choco and I went to 5to7 in Seongsu!

Eating a fluffy soufflé while looking out at the lush Seoul Forest felt like being on a trip haha. Logging this as a soufflé spot among Seoul Forest cafés.

Where do you order at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch? 2F ordering, 3F seats, 4F terrace

At 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch, you follow the stairs up to the 2nd floor to find the ordering counter. The space continues from 2F to 3F, and there's even a terrace on 4F — a genuinely huge café!

You can see the soufflés being made, so the smell drifted over while we were ordering. After ordering, we headed up to the 3rd floor to grab a seat!

What we ordered at 5to7 and what it cost: ₩36,000 for three

• Hot mocha pot americano ₩6,000
• Iced passionfruit ade ₩8,000
• Fig soufflé cake ₩22,000

Three items, ₩36,000 total! (Dessert costing as much as a meal... ugh, don't make me cry.)

I've recently been obsessed with mocha pot coffee, while Choco went with an ade instead of coffee that day! Once we added the soufflé I'd missed out on in Japan, I was finally about to eat it... so hyped haha.

What the 3rd-floor window seat overlooking Seoul Forest feels like

On the 3rd floor of 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch there were quite a few large tables that looked good for studying in a group. While we were deciding where to sit, a window seat overlooking Seoul Forest opened up, so we grabbed it right away!

Lush green trees plus cool weather... it was just perfect♥ I saw a lot of foreign tourists too, and thought it'd be nice to rest with a view like this while traveling haha (these days foreign tourists seem to know the hotspots better than I do lol).

Ahh~ eating such a luxurious dessert in the middle of a forest...

Fig soufflé cake, ₩22,000: how big is it and how does it taste?

Two thick chunks of soufflé piled high with cream and figs — that's 5to7's fig soufflé =) It looked like the figs alone were worth ₩22,000 lol. Isn't the owner being a little too generous...

Maybe because it's fig season in autumn, they were sweet and genuinely delicious ;;; truly fluffy through and through, so it cut so softly haha.

Whew~~ this is what a day off is for..~♬

I worried it'd be super sweet, but the bread itself leaned soft and nutty, and the cream was what gave it sweetness? Eating the cream and figs together to your own taste made the sweetness just right!! 💖

You have to get the fig soufflé this fall~ ♥ Eating the soufflé I'd missed out on in Japan while looking out at the greenery... this place felt like a mini trip haha.

Moka pot americano and passionfruit ade at 5to7 Seongsu

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch has a mocha pot americano for ₩6,000. I got into mocha pot coffee on a family trip this summer haha... my brother-in-law brewed it himself and the aroma stuck with me because it was so different from the usual americano I drink. And then I find mocha pot coffee here too?! The coffee aroma was insane.... seriously.. everyone, forget the regular americano and get this instead.

The passionfruit ade Choco picked was also sweet-and-sour and delicious haha. We ordered it because she doesn't drink coffee, but overall this place doesn't skimp on fruit!!? A quarter slice of fruit plus a generous amount of passionfruit pulp too.. ✨

Restrooms and returning your dishes: tips for visiting 5to7

Eating soufflé that good in a spot that felt like a hideout in the forest — 5to7! A place I'll definitely stop by again while shopping in Seongsu!! Good soufflé spots aren't that easy to find, you know.

Oh, and the restroom is conveniently located inside the 3rd floor!! It's unisex, but it was kept clean when I visited!!

Once you're done eating, just bring your dishes back down to the 2nd floor~~ haha.

Next time I'll bring my mom along to share this fluffy soufflé too haha. Thanks for a great meal again - ♥
