Seoul Forest café with stroller-friendly patio and 3 ice creams

On a September weekend with proper autumn weather finally here, we went to Seoul Forest for a picnic with our kid — but mom and dad couldn't skip a good café either, haha. So here's my very satisfied review of "Mellows," a great Seoul Forest café to visit with a child!

Why Mellows fits a Seoul Forest day out

Mellows is located close to Seoul Forest, making it a great stop while wandering around the park! As someone who really loves spring and autumn picnics, I couldn't pass up a café like this,,,,, so we went. Spring, autumn = terrace café (even better if the food's good too!).

This Seoul Forest café had a lot of outdoor seating. There were tables with parasols, and even this spot filled up quickly right after I took the photo.

There were also about two table seats off to the side, and that's where our family sat. It was easy to park the stroller right next to us, and I sat with my little one on the cushioned seats.

Mellows ice cream menu: 8 flavors

Here's the menu board at Mellows! There's a separate menu inside too. Alongside drinks, the ice cream menu was surprisingly varied — mango, strawberry, peach, matcha, peanut butter, affogato, deep chocolate, and original milk. Eight ice cream flavors in total.

The ice cream at Mellows is made with Sangha Farm milk ice cream, which tastes great and is a good pick to share with kids.

One pick each: mango, matcha and peach

Today we each did one pick — me, my husband, and our kid all chose whatever flavor we wanted. We went with mango, matcha, and peach. With so many flavors to choose from, it was nice that everyone could pick according to their own taste.

• Peach ice cream ₩4,500

The fruit-based ice creams were all the same base price of ₩4,500. Every one of them came in a generous portion and looked so pretty — a big win for anyone who loves taking photos of their food!

The matcha ice cream even came with rolly polly cookies! Sangha Farm milk ice cream piled high with matcha syrup. The richness of the milk ice cream paired really well with the matcha syrup.

And underneath, there was a generous layer of granola that truly went well with the ice cream. Unlike the fruit ice creams, this topping meant a hearty portion, and the granola itself tasted great too 👍🏻

Then there was the fruit ice cream I shared with my kid. We picked mango and peach, and it turned out to be a great choice! Peach is at its best right now, so it was the perfect flavor for the season. As you can see in the photo, the ice cream was loaded with fruit.

The mango pieces in the mango ice cream were big and plentiful — we kept eating them together the whole way through.

And then the peach that both my husband and I loved! We had high expectations ordering the peach ice cream, and it delivered — the peach itself was delicious and the portion was generous, so we were very satisfied. There was no artificial sweetness from peaches soaked in syrup or sugar — just the peach's own natural sweetness, and great texture too.

The peach portion was generous too, so we kept sharing it the whole time we ate. Milk ice cream + peach combo = 💗

And it's terrace season, autumn 🍂🍁 — sitting on the terrace seats and taking photos like this was really nice. Even though,,,, there were some uncooperative moments from our little one, we still managed to leave a photo behind!

If you're looking for a lovely Seoul Forest café, or a Seoul Forest café that's good to visit with kids, I highly, strongly, absolutely recommend "Mellows"!!
