Inside Mini Male Yeoksam: interior and terrace seats
Stepping inside, the space had an overall modern feel with silver and black tones blending together. There was a bit of a metal-interior vibe, and thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows it felt clean and open rather than stuffy.

There were terrace seats outside too, so with the weather turning cooler these days, it seemed like a nice spot to enjoy coffee outdoors.

How to order at the kiosk and choose your beans
You can enjoy their own roasted specialty coffee, and you can even choose the beans to your taste, haha~!

Ordering was easy via kiosk, and the dessert lineup — not just coffee but cookies, financiers, pound cakes, and more — was more varied than I expected, so I spent a while deciding what to get.

And of course, you can't talk about Mini Male without mentioning the Helsinki latte! Apparently it's their signature menu, a reinterpretation of a latte they encountered in Helsinki, Finland, done in Mini Male's own style — I was curious about it. Since it felt like a waste to just drink coffee that day, I picked out some proper desserts too. There were plenty of handmade financiers to choose from~

What we ordered at Mini Male Yeoksam and what it cost
- Helsinki latte ₩5,200
- Apple crumble financier ₩3,500
- Orange pound cake ₩4,800
- Matcha chocolate chip levain ₩4,500

Helsinki latte, 5,200 won
First up, I tried Mini Male's signature Helsinki latte.

One sip in, the rich flavor of the espresso was still there while the milk wrapped around it smoothly — a style that suited my taste since I love lattes.

Rather than being overly sweet or heavy, it went down nutty and smooth, perfect to drink alongside dessert. Now time to eat the desserts!!

Orange pound cake, 4,800 won
True to its name, the orange pound cake's highlight is the refreshing citrus scent.

I thought pound cake might be heavy and dry, but it had a moist texture that paired well with coffee, and the subtle citrus scent that came through with every bite kept it clean-tasting.

It seems like a good choice for anyone who likes sweet desserts but doesn't want something too heavy.

Matcha chocolate chip levain, 4,500 won
True to a thick levain cookie, even one was a pretty filling size.

The bittersweet flavor unique to matcha combined with sweet chocolate chips studded throughout struck a nice balance between sweet and bitter.

Apple crumble financier, 3,500 won
The buttery flavor unique to financiers was layered with the sweet taste of apple, and the crumble on top made the texture fun too.

It wasn't just plain sweet — the subtle freshness of apple came through, so it didn't get cloying as quickly as I expected.

Verdict: is Mini Male Yeoksam a good café for laptop work?
I visited Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch while looking for a café with good coffee near Yeoksam Station. I liked that you can enjoy their own roasted specialty coffee and even choose beans to your taste, and the dessert lineup was varied too, from financiers to pound cakes to levain cookies.
The interior was fairly spacious and clean, and with outlets, a self-serve water station, and even blankets available, it seemed like a good place to drink coffee alone or bring a laptop. On a nice day, it also seems like a great spot to enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee on the terrace.
If you want to enjoy specialty coffee and dessert together near Yeoksam Station, I'd recommend Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch! Next time I visit, I'd like to try the Helsinki latte again with a different bean.
