Everyone loves Chinese food so I end up at Chinese restaurants a lot ^^ Here's Sinogu Banjeom in Byeollae, Namyangju, which I came back to because it was so good. It's great value for a family to enjoy together. Jjajang (black bean noodles), jjajang-bap (black bean sauce rice), and sweet and sour pork are all dishes I can eat with my kid, so I end up going often. There's a red lantern hanging inside so the vibe is good too ^^ The staff are kind, which I love.

What comes in the 31,000 won set at Sinogu Banjeom Byeollae branch
Sinogu Banjeom has good value sets, so we ordered one. Sweet and sour pork + jjajang + jjamppong set, with extra-large jjajang ^^ ₩31,000. It was just the right amount for a family of three.
You can swap the main dish inside the set. There's an extra charge, apparently. The jjamppong was really delicious, so if you're a jjamppong fan I recommend a set that includes it.
On top of the basic Chinese restaurant dishes most people love, there's a wide range of other Chinese dishes too. There are also dishes like yusanseul (stir-fried pork and vegetables), palbochae (eight treasure stir-fry), kkanshow shrimp, and samseon nurungjitang (seafood over crispy rice) ^^ so if you come on a special occasion with your parents, ordering a variety of dishes would make for a rich spread.
I heard ganjajang (dry-style black bean noodles) comes with a fried egg, so I want to try that next time ^^ I also heard kkanpunggi (crispy sweet and spicy chicken) is generous in portion and delicious, so I'm thinking of ganjajang + kkanpunggi next time.
How spicy is the jjamppong broth at Sinogu Banjeom?
The jjajang, jjamppong, and sweet and sour pork were all so good I inhaled them ^^ I like jjamppong more than jjajang, and Sinogu Banjeom's jjamppong was exactly my kind of flavor, so I was super happy ^^ A lot of places make it bland, but this one had a slightly spicy, rich broth that was so delicious. I barely held back from mixing rice into it haha.
If you love a rich jjajang with strong chunjang (black bean paste) flavor, I highly recommend Sinogu Banjeom's jjajang ^^ The interior isn't cramped either, so it's fine for small groups too ^^

Unfortunately they're closed for the holiday. They're closed September 24–26, so I'll have to go either before or after ^^

I liked it even more knowing they cook everything with plant-based oil instead of animal fat ^^ Hearing that they cook hygienically with the mindset that a kid is eating it made me feel even more at ease as I chomped away ^^

It's not far from Seoul, so I often go to Byeollae for good food ^^ Finding good restaurants in Byeollae is fun. Sinogu Banjeom is great value ^^ and clean, so I recommend it as a genuine Byeollae, Namyangju favorite.
Sinogu Banjeom's soft sweet and sour pork is its charm ^^ Exactly the ideal Chinese restaurant flavor I imagine, so I was happy ^^ Even though it's the portion included in the set, the amount was generous and never felt lacking.
Sinogu Banjeom has gotten a lot of word of mouth, so plenty of customers come, and there were a lot of families.
I've definitely learned Chinese food tastes better eaten in the restaurant than delivered. Neighbors, if you're craving delicious jjamppong this weekend, I recommend Sinogu Banjeom in Byeollae ^^
The sweet and sour pork included in the set had a bigger portion than expected, which I loved. The jjamppong was truly two thumbs up ^^ Jjamppong lovers will completely fall for this broth flavor.
The jjamppong had a charmingly, refreshingly moderate spice with crunchy bean sprouts mixed in ^^
My son said the jjajang was delicious too and dove right in, face buried in the bowl haha.
We had a delicious meal ^^ I think it's good to eat out at least once during the weekend. The weekend went by too fast, but I'm going to try to gather my energy for the upcoming holiday ^^
