Chrysanthemum tea and pumpkin bingsu set for two: Bibibidang Gyeongju

In short

Bibibidang Gyeongju is a tea café inside the Woo Yang Museum of Contemporary Art in Bomun Complex, Gyeongju. The set for two (₩29,000) came with chrysanthemum tea, the café's signature pumpkin bingsu, and six assorted dasik (Korean tea sweets). With a calm, upscale atmosphere and a Snoopy 75th anniversary exhibit on view, it's a great pick for an afternoon tea break in Bomun.

Today I'm writing about my trip to 'Bibibidang Gyeongju' in Bomun Complex, Gyeongju!

<Bibibidang Gyeongju> Tue–Sun 10:00–18:00 (last order 17:30) ※ Closed every Monday

What kind of café is Bibibidang Gyeongju? First floor of the Woo Yang Museum

I'd wanted to visit 'Bibibidang' for so long! Its main branch is in Haeundae, but it also has a location near Gyeongju's Bomun Complex, so it was on my must-visit list for Gyeongju!

'Bibibidang Gyeongju' is on the first floor of the 'Woo Yang Museum of Contemporary Art' inside the Gyeongju Hilton, so it's smaller than the Haeundae branch, but being inside a museum, the interior felt upscale and strongly calm.

On top of that, when I visited in early September 2026, a 'Snoopy 75th Anniversary' exhibition was running, with Snoopy artworks displayed here and there, which made it fun to look around too!

The menu board and dessert showcase

After passing by the Snoopy displays scattered around the Woo Yang Museum, I went into 'Bibibidang Gyeongju' and took a photo of the menu board. Being a tea specialty shop, it had all kinds of tea menus, signature desserts and tea pairings, coffee menus, and set menus.

Right next to it, various desserts sold at 'Bibibidang Gyeongju' were displayed in a case. From croissants and tissue bread, choco chip levain cookies, Bibibidang's handmade Baak, margherita chicken panini, salt butter bread, to the café's signature pumpkin sikhye bingsu (pumpkin sweet rice drink shaved ice) made with sweet pumpkin, tiramisu, milk cream bread, and Snoopy-themed items like Snoopy castella and 75th anniversary Snoopy macarons — there were so many desserts that looked pretty and delicious just to look at!

I was so curious about the Snoopy desserts, but I was already too full, so I only enjoyed them with my eyes.

Looking around the café after ordering

We ordered the 'Set for Two (₩29,000)' and looked around the café while waiting.

Calm interior atmosphere inside Bibibidang Gyeongju

Since it's a café inside the 'Woo Yang Museum', there were artworks here and there that made it feel like visiting a museum, which was fun to see!

Teacups were placed here and there like this, and they were so calm and pretty.

Isn't the café so neat and clean-feeling?! Just looking at it felt like viewing an exhibit, and it was such a healing time.

The lush green scenery peeking through outside was also a total healing point!! The inside of the café isn't that big, but it has a calm, elegant feel.

Snoopy goods and Bibibidang gift sets

Near the entrance of 'Bibibidang Gyeongju' there was a spot selling 'Snoopy' goods, so since I was already there, I browsed them too.

There were many Snoopy items I wanted to buy, but the limited edition Snoopy figurine caught my eye the most!! It was so pretty, but given the price, I just admired it with my eyes! By the way, isn't that Snoopy plush so pretty too?!

I also browsed the various gift sets and goods sold at 'Bibibidang Gyeongju'. From tableware to paperweights and even cosmetics, there was a wide variety, which was fun to look at. The packaging was so pretty it seemed perfect for gifts.

With the view of the lush green pine trees and white porcelain too!! Just looking at it was so healing and calming!!

Near where we sat, there was a framed painting hanging like this, and since it's a café inside a museum, it felt like it fit even better.

The Set for Two, ₩29,000: what's included

And a little while later, our 'Set for Two (₩29,000)' came out!! Being a set for two, it came neatly arranged on a large tray with tea, Bibibidang's signature 'pumpkin bingsu', and 'assorted dasik' — six pieces — perfect to pair with tea.

Also took an 'aerial shot' (?) from above! It gives a different feel from above, right??

Our seasonal flower tea: chrysanthemum tea

First, we decided to try the tea we chose. In the 'Set for Two (₩29,000)', you could choose the seasonal flower tea between chrysanthemum tea and magnolia tea, and we chose 'chrysanthemum tea'.

When we chose 'chrysanthemum tea', the teapot actually had a few real chrysanthemum blossoms in it, and it was so pretty visually, ugh! Seeing a few flower petals floating as I poured the tea put me in such a good mood haha!

I took a photo of the moment the tea was first poured into the cup~! Special guest appearance by my boyfriend's hand ★!!

The 'chrysanthemum tea' had a subtle chrysanthemum fragrance and was warm, which calmed both body and mind — it was lovely.

The signature pumpkin bingsu

Next, I tried Bibibidang's signature dessert, the 'pumpkin bingsu'!!

Bibibidang's signature pumpkin bingsu

The 'pumpkin bingsu' is apparently made by freezing pumpkin sikhye (sweet rice drink) and topping it with rice syrup, so you can taste the fragrant sweetness of the pumpkin.

I've had many kinds of bingsu before, but this was the first time I'd had pumpkin bingsu, and maybe because of the rice syrup, it was sweet without tasting artificial or overly sweet — the sweetness felt natural, and I liked that.

Of everything I ate that day, Bibibidang's 'pumpkin bingsu' was my favorite.

Not overly rich or too sticky, with a naturally subtle sweetness — Bibibidang's signature dessert 'pumpkin bingsu'! Once I tried it, I understood why it's their flagship item!

A plate of six assorted dasik

Tasting the assorted dasik, 6 pieces one by one

Next, I tried the six pieces of 'assorted dasik' (Korean tea sweets) one at a time. Here's the very first one I tried!

The 'Set for Two (₩29,000)' comes with six kinds of dasik that go well with tea, and this particular one was the only kind that came in two pieces! It tasted like black sesame and wasn't sweet, which paired perfectly with the tea.

Black sesame flavored dasik
The remaining four kinds of dasik

Two kinds of yanggaeng (sweet red bean jelly)

Then I tried the remaining four dasik! Among them, I started with the two kinds of yanggaeng. First, the 'white yanggaeng'!

The 'white yanggaeng' wasn't too sweet, and while it was soft, it had more density than I expected. I don't usually eat yanggaeng often, so it was nice to enjoy it again after a while at a tea specialty café like 'Bibibidang'!

Next up was the 'purple yanggaeng'! It had the same texture as the 'white yanggaeng', and both felt upscale rather than like the cheaper (?) yanggaeng you often find. Both weren't too sweet, which I liked!!

Omija-flavored and grape-flavored jellies

Next, the jellies! Both the color and flavor seemed like omija (schisandra berry), and the 'omija jelly' had such a chewy texture it was hard to even cut with a fork!

Personally I like jellies more than yanggaeng, so the jellies were more delicious to me. The omija flavor really came through, which made it even better!!

Chewy omija-flavored jelly

And the very last one I tried, the 'grape jelly'!

The last dasik, grape-flavored jelly
Close-up of the grape-flavored jelly

Before eating the 'grape jelly', my boyfriend and I tried guessing the flavor — he guessed grape, and I guessed some kind of berry like blueberry — but I'm not exactly sure what flavor it actually was, so I just arbitrarily named it 'grape jelly' since it seemed closest haha. The 'grape jelly' also had a chewy texture and wasn't too sweet, so I enjoyed it! All the 'assorted dasik' that came with the 'Set for Two (₩29,000)' paired perfectly with the tea.

The pumpkin sikhye bingsu from our receipt review

And before leaving, we wrote a receipt review and received a 'pumpkin sikhye bingsu' as a gift!! We tried the 'pumpkin sikhye bingsu' later that evening after dinner, and it was genuinely delicious. It was given to us slightly frozen, and even though we ate it after it had melted a bit, it was still so good!! There were bits of slush mixed in throughout, and the sweetness felt just right!! I fully admit that Bibibidang's signature is pumpkin...!!

How was it for an afternoon tea time in Bomun?

I went out to Bomun Complex, which I love so much, and had a completely healing afternoon sipping tea calmly at 'Bibibidang Gyeongju'!! The inside of the café was so pretty and upscale that it felt like an even more worthwhile time! Since 'Bibibidang Gyeongju' is inside the 'Woo Yang Museum', I recommend checking out the museum while you're there!! I recommend 'Bibibidang Gyeongju' as a café in Gyeongju's Bomun Complex!!
