If you're looking for a clean Korean BBQ spot near Nonhyeon Station with easy parking, there are plenty of places great for big group dinners — but somewhere comfortable for just two people to eat is harder to find. This time I visited Deo Bareun Butcher Restaurant Nonhyeon Station Branch, right by Nonhyeon Station.

It's mainly a Korean beef butcher restaurant, but they also sell Jeju black pork, so instead of beef we tried the Jeju black pork geungogi (fresh-cut pork platter) this time — and it was way better than I expected! Being close to Nonhyeon Station, having parking available, and the clean interior all made it a solid pick for a family meal or a get-together too.

Where is Deo Bareun Butcher Restaurant, and how does the valet parking work?

Deo Bareun Butcher Restaurant Nonhyeon Station Branch sits right at Nonhyeon Station Exit 3, at the entrance to Yeongdong Market, so it wasn't hard to find at all! It seems like it'd be super accessible if you have a get-together near Nonhyeon Station.

And parking is available too! Around Nonhyeon Station a lot of restaurants have really awkward parking situations, but Deo Bareun offers valet parking at the Seil Building lot diagonally across from the store. The lot is available from 5pm onward, and the valet fee is ₩4,000. I visited in the evening, and having parking sorted definitely made things a lot easier~!

Is Deo Bareun good for two? Rooms for 2 to 12 people

Walking in, the whole place felt clean and well kept. Deo Bareun Butcher Restaurant Nonhyeon Station Branch has a range of rooms — 2-person, 4-person, 8-person, and even 12-person rooms. Since group diners were tucked away in the rooms, the main hall was actually pretty quiet. So it's great for two people having a meal, but also recommendable for bigger parties like family gatherings or company dinners!

They've got a wide range of beef and pork, and the premium side dishes are amazing too — lobster, wow.

I was also really pleased that the spoon and chopsticks come sitting in hot water...

Jeju black pork geungogi 600g for 69,000 won

We were craving pork, so we ordered the Jeju black pork geungogi (fresh-cut pork platter) 600g. It costs ₩69,000!

The salt, wasabi, ssamjang, and the seasoned lettuce salad that came with it were all so good!

The pork is a mixed platter of Jeju black pork belly, pork neck, and gabrisal, and at 600g it was a decent portion for two — plus I liked getting to try several cuts at once.

Staff grill the pork at your table

Best of all, the staff grilled the meat for us, which made things so easy. When you're eating at a BBQ place and have to keep track of when to flip the meat, conversation gets interrupted and it's honestly a bit of a hassle — but with a staff member grilling for us, we could just relax and eat, and it came out grilled so much better too.

Black pork cut into bite-sized pieces

The meat was cooked just right and cut into perfectly bite-sized pieces, so we could dig in from the very first piece. You could really taste the signature chewy texture and nutty flavor of Jeju black pork — we kept saying how genuinely delicious it was!!!

The meat was delicious just dipped in salt, but dipping it in myeoljeot (salted anchovy sauce) really brought out the pork's nutty flavor even more.

Side dishes: gungchae (stem lettuce), myeongi namul (pickled wild garlic leaves) and baek kimchi (white kimchi)

The gungchae (stem lettuce), myeongi-namul (wild garlic leaves), and baek-kimchi (white kimchi) that came alongside were all so good too haha. Piling gungchae on a piece of meat added a nice crunch, and wrapping it in myeongi-namul made it taste clean and fresh, so I kept reaching for more. We even asked for a myeongi-namul refill hahaha.

They even neatly cut up the mushrooms and put them on the grill for us.

Finishing with kimchi jjigae and steamed rice

After the meat, we naturally decided to pay extra ourselves and order a meal to finish — with the side dishes and meat all so clean and tasty, I was curious about the food menu too. So we added kimchi jjigae and a bowl of rice.

The kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) is priced a bit higher compared to the meat menu, so when I first looked at the menu I hesitated a little — but once I tried it, it was clean-tasting and delicious, a great way to wrap up the meal. Rather than the heavy, dense feel kimchi jjigae can sometimes have, this version was light and clean, so it didn't feel like too much even after all the meat. Ordering one bowl of rice to go with it made for a properly satisfying final course 👏

Free wine on weekdays and no corkage fee on Saturdays and holidays

What I liked about Deo Bareun Butcher Restaurant Nonhyeon Station Branch was the combination of being close to Nonhyeon Station, having parking available, the clean interior, and the staff-grilled service. This time we had Jeju black pork, but next time I'd love to try the Korean beef menu too.

On weekdays, ordering a beef set gets you a free bottle of wine per table, and on Saturdays and public holidays, corkage is free with any Korean beef or black pork order — so if you like pairing your meat with wine or other drinks, it's worth checking out these perks!
