Today I'm sharing a place I walked out of thinking "I'm definitely coming back" — for real, for the first time in a while. Snack Bar Atashi in Dangsan! The vibe, the food, the beer, everything about it was just so good. Usually when you order a few dishes there's at least one that's "eh, it was fine" but here... everything I ate was 200 points out of 100 hahaha.
Where is Snack Bar Atashi near Dangsan Station, and what about parking and hours?
Snack Bar Atashi is at 75 Yangpyeong-ro, 1st floor, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, near Dangsan Station. Parking is available, and there are public lots at Dangsan Overpass, Yangpyeong 2-dong Office, and Yeongdeungpo Tax Office.

- 📌Parking: available / public lots at Dangsan Overpass, Yangpyeong 2-dong Office, Yeongdeungpo Tax Office
- 📌Hours: weekdays 10:00 - 24:00 (break time 14:30 - 17:00)
- Saturday 16:00 - 24:00
- Closed Sundays

The vibe was great from the moment I walked in. Right in the middle of Dangsan, and suddenly it feels like you're on a trip to Japan? Great for a casual drink after work or for drinks with friends over good food. Office workers nearby, stopping here after work sounds like the perfect way to end the day haha.
The evening primrose logo: how Snack Bar Atashi changes from day to night
Atashi's logo has a single flower on it, which is apparently an evening primrose. Like the meaning "a flower that closes by day and blooms at night," Atashi itself is a different place depending on the time — by day they sell katsu and curry, and by night it runs as the bar I'm introducing now. The way the concept ties into the logo made it feel even more charming.

Atashi's signature dishes include their own aged seasonal sashimi, a 48-hour aged curry nabe, chicken nanban, and more. The aged sashimi apparently changes by season, and on the day I visited it was... raw shrimp!!! That was the seasonal aged sashimi of the day.
What we ordered at Snack Bar Atashi and what it cost

- Seasonal raw shrimp sashimi ₩35,000
- Shrimp head fritters +₩5,000
- Salt gimbap +₩4,000
- Crab roe risotto ₩8,000
- Kirin draft beer ₩8,000 × 2 glasses
The raw shrimp price changes by season since it's a market-price menu item, so it's best to check when you visit.

Seasonal raw shrimp sashimi, 35,000 won: how does it taste?
And then the raw shrimp arrived. Wow... the visuals alone were amazing. Take one bite and it's springy to the point I'd honestly call it "crunchy." The flesh was incredibly plump too.
You could really feel that fresh raw shrimp bounce with every bite.

It was so fresh and plump that it was genuinely fun to eat. Personally... I'd give it the number one spot for raw shrimp in Dangsan hahaha. This was the seasonal menu at the time of my visit so they won't always have raw shrimp, but if I go during shrimp season? I'm ordering it, no question.

Shrimp head fritters for 5,000 won: worth adding?
If you order the raw shrimp, you can add shrimp head fritters for +₩5,000 and salt gimbap for +₩4,000. Looking at that, you might think "do I really need to add these?" I totally get it. I thought the same.
But just order it. Please hahaha. I'm usually really sensitive to fishy flavors, so I almost skipped the shrimp head fritters. Fishy taste? None. Genuinely crispy, nutty, and so good... For +₩5,000, I'd add it again without hesitation next time. If you're ordering the raw shrimp, think of the shrimp head fritters as a set.

And the +₩4,000 salt gimbap. Just order this too. At first you might think, why would you need gimbap while eating raw shrimp, but once you factor in the crab roe risotto coming later, it turns out to be a brilliant choice haha.
And before digging into the food, a glass of Kirin draft first :) I think the foam-to-beer ratio matters a lot with draft beer, and this one looked perfectly poured. Kirin Ichiban draft is already tasty on its own, but paired with the food here it was absolute bliss hahaha.

A bite of raw shrimp, a sip of beer. A bite of shrimp head fritter, a sip of beer. Everything I ate that day was practically calling for beer.

Crab roe risotto, 8,000 won, scooped onto crackers
And then the crab roe risotto! Priced at ₩8,000. It comes served on a little burner, and the presentation alone screams perfect drinking food.
It arrives with the flame still on, so just stir it now and then to keep it from burning. Keep stirring and the flame eventually goes out on its own. There's something fun about sipping a drink while waiting for it to bubble away haha.
Crackers are served alongside the crab roe risotto. Just pile the risotto onto the crackers and eat it like that.
A bite of crispy cracker topped with crab roe risotto :) This one too... delicious. Seriously, why is everything here good hahaha.

Salt gimbap in the leftover crab roe sauce: the best combo of the night
At first the portion looked a bit small, but as we ate it turned out to be pretty generous. Even after finishing it with the crackers, a bit of crab roe sauce was left. So this is where the salt gimbap I ordered earlier made its comeback!

I tried the leftover crab roe sauce with the raw shrimp sashimi and the salt gimbap together, and it was so good too...

With every bite of a dish, my hand naturally reached for the beer. If you're looking for an izakaya near Dangsan Station, this place would be great to visit with a friend who loves drinking.

Is Snack Bar Atashi worth a return trip as a Dangsan Station bar?
Usually when you order several dishes, they end up split into categories — this one was great, this one was average, I won't order this again next time. But at Atashi, everything we ordered that day genuinely impressed me.

This visit to Snack Bar Atashi left me thinking it's the kind of Dangsan Station bar I'll come back to whenever I want a drink with good food. Most of all, what I loved was that it wasn't just one standout dish — everything we ordered was delicious.

If you're looking for an izakaya near Dangsan Station, save Snack Bar Atashi. I'll be heading back soon for more food and sake :)
