Hi, it's Mango the Beast~ When I travel to Gangneung, eating good food is fun, but honestly I love hunting down cafés just as much~~ Having a good cup of coffee near the sea and taking a breather really revives the whole trip's energy, haha.
This time I went to Coffee Dripper, near Gangmun Beach and Chodang Tofu Village. My friend Snail tried the cone choco latte here and completely lost it haha. She's normally the type to gasp over good food, but this time her voice just kept getting louder. I was a little embarrassed sitting next to her, but when she kept saying it was delicious, I got curious too!! So I tried both the coffee and the cone choco latte with her~ Wow, life-changing latte!

Coffee Dripper parking and opening hours
Coffee Dripper has its own dedicated parking lot with room for about 13 cars, and it's open from 10 AM to 6 PM, closed every Tuesday. When I'm traveling, I really don't like circling around looking for parking just to visit one café, so having parking here was great! Good for anyone visiting by car~ If you're planning to stop by during a Gangneung trip, check the hours before you go~

Suitcase storage, window seats and the outdoor terrace
Inside Coffee Dripper there's a luggage storage space for travelers, and the café is split into several zones — from the counter area, to a section connected by floor-to-ceiling windows, to outdoor seats. Looking at the exterior, there are all kinds of fun little props scattered around. Instead of just walking straight in, I ended up looking around from the entrance first. We took photos and looked around before even going inside~ Since a lot of travelers to Gangneung visit this place, it seems like they set up luggage storage specifically for that.
Once you step inside, the space is bigger than expected! Beyond the window wall you can see outside, so it doesn't feel stuffy at all, and on a nice day the outdoor seats would be lovely for enjoying coffee. Dogs are welcome too, so if you're traveling around Gangneung with your pup, this is worth noting!

Hahahaha even the bathroom was pretty so the two of us took a selfie there~

They also have a wide variety of drinks and breads~~ I heard the Chodang tofu pudding is really good too!

The visuals were so pretty I brought it outside into the sunlight for a photo. I'm not great at photography haha, but I felt like living my best life for a second.

Warm hand-drip coffee from house-roasted beans
Since we came to Coffee Dripper, of course we had to try the hand-drip coffee!! I ordered a warm hand-drip coffee. I was curious what house-roasted beans would taste like, and I loved it from the very first sip~ A nutty flavor comes through first, it goes down smoothly, and the aftertaste is clean. Take a sip, chat for a bit, take another sip haha — before I knew it, the cup was almost empty 😳 If you love coffee, I'd recommend sipping slowly to really enjoy the bean's flavor~

The pine needle tea served at the end
While we were enjoying our coffee and desserts, they brought out pine needle tea at the end~ At first 'pine needle tea' sounded a bit unfamiliar, but once I tried it, it was cleaner-tasting than expected. Snail liked this one too and said she'd buy it if they sold it as a regular menu item haha. The two of us were basically running a nonstop tasting session. But hey, when something's delicious, you've got to say so precisely!!

Wait... do you see the chocolate dripping down?? The visuals are insane~~ I thought the inside would just be empty, but plot twist! The chocolate inside is high-quality too, totally my style~

What does the cone choco latte taste like?
Coffee Dripper's cone choco latte is the drink that made Snail's eyes widen the moment she tasted it, going on and on about how good it was. As you drink the warm latte, the chocolate cone slowly melts and adds chocolate flavor~ At first the latte's nuttiness leads, but the more you drink, the sweeter and richer the chocolate becomes, until by the end it feels like a completely different drink. And at the very end, you get to eat the crunchy cone too!!
Wow, the marshmallow and white chocolate at the bottom of the cone are just insane. I hesitated to photograph it since it looked a bit messy, but the moment Snail told me to, it was too delicious-looking not to, haha. I now understand why she loved it enough to call it her life-changing latte, haha. This really seems like a menu the owner — who clearly knows flavor — spent a lot of time perfecting combinations for.
Why Coffee Dripper is a good break on a Gangneung trip
I think slowly sipping a cup of coffee and taking a break is actually a pretty important part of traveling~ At Coffee Dripper I got to drink great coffee, look around at everything, and spend time at an easy pace, which felt satisfying 😊 If you like sweet drinks, you have to try the cone choco latte!! Once you taste it, you'll immediately understand why Snail got so excited, haha. I'd love to stop by again on my next Gangneung trip for another cup of coffee~ Another good meal, well enjoyed today!
