Gangneung café late at night: coffee ice cream cup at Coffee Dripper
In short
Coffee Dripper is a roastery café on the Chodang-dong tofu street in Gangneung, directly across from Toetmaru. Arriving late in the evening, the cone choco latte and Chodang tofu pudding were already sold out, so the order became a dripper latte (white almond mocha) and coffee ice cream served in a cup with chocolate chips. The intended menu was missed, but the nutty white almond mocha and the coffee ice cream both delivered, and the lot fits about 13 cars.

Coffee Dripper
This is a café I visited with my husband during our trip to Gangneung. It's located in Chodang-dong, Gangneung, and I went because the signature menu sounded unique! I was disappointed I couldn't try it, but I still left satisfied — here's my Coffee Dripper review.
Where is Coffee Dripper and is there parking? Across from Toetmaru, 13 cars
Coffee Dripper is a roastery café on Nanseolheon-ro in Chodang-dong, Gangneung, right across from Toetmaru. The store's own lot fits about 13 cars, so it's easy to visit by car too.

This is the exterior of Coffee Dripper, the Gangneung café. It's not a huge megacafé, but it does have a decent-sized space! I heard it's been in the same spot for over 10 years, which made me even more curious about the coffee. And knowing it's a roastery café that hand-drips coffee from its own roasted beans got my expectations up even more!

The store has its own parking lot, so parking is easy too. About 13 cars can fit.

There are also outdoor tables, so on a nice day it'd be lovely to sit and drink outside! It was a bit chilly on the day I visited, so I went inside instead. Next time I'll come back on a nicer day and have coffee outdoors!

Goods and beans at Coffee Dripper: mugs, T-shirts, house-roasted coffee
Coffee Dripper also sells goods like mugs and T-shirts, along with its own roasted coffee beans. Browsing around was fun in itself! The beans also looked like a nice gift to bring for people around you.

Inside Coffee Dripper: window seats, wall seats and a group table
There's a nice variety of seating inside Coffee Dripper, right? With its cozy wood-tone interior, there are window seats and table seats in various layouts, which I liked. We sat by the wall and enjoyed people-watching outside while we relaxed. Tables can also be combined, so it looks good for group visits too!
And this counter, isn't it lovely˘͈ᵕ˘͈ Watching the staff brew coffee was fun too. The coffee aroma drifting through the air was really nice.

There's water next to the counter. Water is self-serve. ୧⃛(๑⃙⃘◡̈๑⃙⃘)୨⃛
Late-night visit: cone choco latte and Chodang tofu pudding sold out
I visited Coffee Dripper a bit later in the evening, and a lot of menu items were sold out. I'd been curious about the cone choco latte and the Chodang tofu pudding, but both were sold out ㅠㅠㅠ So instead I ordered a dripper latte and coffee ice cream. Please have the cone choco latte for me... 🥹

Here's the coffee ice cream and dripper latte we got after ordering. I was disappointed I couldn't drink what I originally wanted, but the ice cream and dripper latte were satisfying too. And honestly, don't they look pretty?
Coffee ice cream in a cup instead of a cone, topped with chocolate chips
Ta-da, here's Coffee Dripper's coffee ice cream. This one also comes in a cone or cup option, but since they didn't have cones during my visit, I had it in a cup. Even in a cup, it felt neat and satisfying!

Sweet chocolate chips are scattered generously over the soft coffee ice cream! The slightly bitter coffee ice cream paired really well with the chocolate chips, so I kept stealing bites from my husband's cup haha. The portion was pretty generous too, which I liked.

How the dripper latte tastes: the nutty white almond mocha
This is Coffee Dripper's drip coffee. Maybe because it's a white almond mocha coffee, it was sweet, nutty, and really well-balanced! It had a different kind of nuttiness compared to other cafés, which made the coffee feel distinctly fresh.

A Gangneung café worth a stop after tofu on Chodang-dong's tofu street
This was my Coffee Dripper review — I couldn't try the menu I originally wanted, but the other items I ordered instead were really satisfying. It's also located on Gangneung's tofu street, so it looks like a great stop after a meal there. I recommend Coffee Dripper as a Gangneung café! I'll come back with my husband later and finally try the tofu pudding!
