Changwon izakaya where one diner ate 14 skewers: Yakitori Gong

This is Juang, reporting after a drink at Yakitori Gong, a great spot at Urban Bricks in Jung-dong, Changwon, hahahaha

Where is Yakitori Gong? 3rd floor of Urban Bricks, by the central escalator

Being a country girl, I had a hard time finding Yakitori Gong's location ㅠㅠ So let me first show you where it is inside Urban Bricks!

Yakitori Gong, this great Jung-dong Changwon spot, is on the 3rd floor of Urban Bricks, right in the very center in front of the escalator!! That's unit 44, marked with a heart!!! Since it's right in the middle of the 3rd floor, anyone who's read my post should find it easily!

Yakitori Gong menu and what we ordered: all skewers, plus tonkotsu ramen

Here's the menu at Yakitori Gong, this Jung-dong Urban Bricks spot in Changwon! Since I went for yakitori, I focused entirely on skewers, while my husband, who was off alcohol at the time because of an eyebrow tattoo situation lol, ordered tonkotsu ramen!

There were various promotions and lots of menu items, but I went the traditional route!! All in on skewers!!! So let me tell you how many skewers I actually ate!!!

14 skewers for one: 4 yakitori kinds, 5 negima, 6 kawa

I ate 14 lolllll. Now let me introduce the skewer menu I had at this Jung-dong Urban Bricks spot in Changwon!

I only ordered 4 types of yakitori plus negima (chicken thigh and scallion) and kawa (chicken skin) haha. But I ended up eating a total of 5 negima!!! And 6 kawa!!! haha. Honestly I was drunk so the exact count isn't certain lolll. The 4 yakitori types were king oyster mushroom skewer, chicken tenderloin skewer, chicken skin skewer, and heart skewer!

My best picks at Yakitori Gong, this Jung-dong Urban Bricks spot in Changwon, are these two! Negima (chicken thigh + scallion) skewer and kawa (chicken skin) skewer!!!! Next time I visit I'm eating 10 of each negima and kawa!!! For real!!!

The chicken thigh is really good dipped in the cabbage sauce that comes as a standard side and eaten together with the cabbage! The thigh meat is so plump it fills you up a bit!!

With the chicken skin skewer, definitely eat it hot right away!!! The salty-sweet soy sauce infused with charcoal aroma is so delicious!!! The alcohol just goes down so easily!!!

Tonkotsu ramen for the husband who was off alcohol

Oh right, my husband said his tonkotsu ramen was delicious too lolll

He said it tasted even better sprinkled with shichimi(?)! I got so obsessed with skewers that I forgot about the standard peanuts and cabbage they gave us lolll. There were sauces and salt and such, so I grabbed a small plate and sprinkled all of it on haha (though I only actually ate the salt part,,,,)

Extra ice cups brought without a fuss

This is what I drank! I drank it alone haha. As I mentioned, my husband was off alcohol because of the eyebrow tattoo thing lol. If you're curious, take a look lolll

I asked for an ice cup and enjoyed it nice and cold haha. When I ran out of ice and shyly asked for one more, the staff at Yakitori Gong, this Jung-dong Urban Bricks spot in Changwon, brought it over so kindly haha, in a pretty highball glass!

Anyway, it was so delicious!!! I'm planning to visit again!!! Had a nice satisfying meal lolll. Recommending it as a Changwon company dinner spot! A Changwon bar recommendation! A Changwon Japanese restaurant recommendation!! (I actually drank this two days ago but this post reads like I'm still drunk haha)
