Hangover sundae soup sets at Juan Station, Incheon: Suraok Sundaeguk
In short
Suraok Sundaeguk Juan Station Branch is a sundae soup (Korean blood sausage soup) restaurant in Michuhol, Incheon, a 2-minute walk from Juan Station Exit 6. Nursing a hangover from the night before, the writer ordered both the Suraok Sundae Soup Set at 14,000 won and the Clear Sundae Soup Set at 14,000 won, and rated the sundae, boiled pork and liver that come with the 4,000-won set upgrade the highlight of the meal. This Juan Station sundae soup restaurant is just a 2-minute walk from Exit 6, so accessibility was excellent.

I wondered what 'Suraok' meant — turns out it refers to sundae soup fit for a king. Just hearing that made it feel like it's made with extra care.
There are waiting chairs set up outside, so you can wait comfortably even if there's a line.
They give you ₩1,000 off if you pick up takeout. Since it's uncooked, you can boil it up hot at home and still enjoy the taste of Suraok Sundaeguk Juan Station Branch comfortably 👍
Inside Suraok Sundaeguk: the room and the menu prices

The interior is super clean with a modern design. The tables are spaced generously apart so you can eat comfortably.
The chairs have storage space for your belongings, so it's easy to tuck away a coat or bag.

True to a Juan Station sundae soup restaurant, the menu is largely split into Suraok Sundae Soup, Spicy Sundae Soup, and Clear Sundae Soup.
- Suraok Sundae Soup — the signature menu, includes chili seasoning (dadegi)
- Spicy Sundae Soup — spicier than the Suraok version, recommended for those who want a fiery, sharp taste
- Clear Sundae Soup — no chili seasoning; recommended if you want a plain, mild flavor
And for just +₩4,000 on any sundae soup menu, you can upgrade to a full set.

There are also dishes like assorted sundae, sliced boiled pork, sundae hot pot, and beef tripe hot pot that you can enjoy as evening drinking snacks.

What I found super thoughtful is that there's a separate kids' menu. There's a kids' sundae soup made with only lean meat, so it seems like a great place to visit for a family meal with kids too.
Soju is on the cheaper side at ₩4,000, so it's perfect for pairing a drink with your sundae soup.
They're also running a Naver receipt review event — write a review and get your choice of a sundae set, alcohol, or a drink for free. Such a sweet deal 🍯

You order via the tablet on the table, and you can even pay from your seat, which is super convenient 👍 (I saw you can even split payments at the table — what a good world we live in.)
We ordered the Suraok Sundae Soup Set ₩14,000, Clear Sundae Soup Set ₩14,000, and Zero Coke ₩2,000.
Suraok Sundae Soup Set vs Clear Sundae Soup Set: an honest comparison

The basic side dishes are kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), chives, onions, salted shrimp, ssamjang (dipping sauce), and cheongyang peppers, meant to be eaten alongside the sundae soup.

If you run low on side dishes, there's a self-serve bar, plus extra salt and garlic are prepared there too.
At the self-serve bar, they even had kids' spoons and chopsticks ready. I was really touched by the owner's thoughtfulness 🥹
The golden tableware, like something served for a king's meal, felt luxurious and made me feel well taken care of.
After a short wait, the Suraok Sundae Soup Set (₩14,000) arrived. It came out piping hot, with a milky broth loaded with chili seasoning and a generous topping of green onions. Just the visual alone made me feel like I was already curing my hangover.
A shot of the sundae, boiled pork, and liver that came with the set. The portions were so generous that just looking at the photo made me feel full.
Suraok Sundae Soup comes with perilla seed powder mixed in by default, so if you don't like it, it's worth asking them to leave it out.
This is the Clear Sundae Soup Set (₩14,000) my boyfriend ordered. True to its name, it has a clear broth with lean meat and sundae in it, looking like a hearty, mild meal that isn't too intense.
The sundae soup comes with about 4 really big pieces of sundae.
The seasoning is already set as default, so try a bite first, then add salted shrimp, salt, pepper, or perilla powder to taste for an even better flavor.

For my Suraok Sundae Soup, once I mixed the chili seasoning well into the broth, it turned into a soup so visually appetizing it made my mouth water just looking at it.

The moment I took the first sip, the broth was so delicious it sobered me right up. Highly recommend this for curing a hangover.

There's a huge amount of lean meat in it, and since there's no fat, it wasn't greasy at all — the mild flavor paired even better with the broth.

The sundae is hot, so let it cool a bit before eating with the broth — the broth soaks perfectly into the sundae's filling, making for an absolutely perfect bite.

As I kept eating, I wanted it spicier, so I asked the owner for scissors and cut in some cheongyang peppers. The sharp kick of the peppers added to the broth made it even more delicious.
The sundae soup also has beef tripe in it, and I was really surprised that it had zero off-putting smell and wasn't chewy at all. Just the nutty flavor of the tripe, nothing else. They must be using quality ingredients.
What the 4,000-won set upgrade actually gets you
It doesn't make sense that this is the set you get for just ₩4,000 extra. The value for money is insane.
The sundae seems to be the same type as what's in the soup, but the taste and texture are completely different. With the glass noodles and sundae filling in a perfect ratio, it has a nutty flavor with the rich, delicious taste of sundae packed in. It's the best sundae I've had recently, so I 100% recommend adding the set upgrade to try the plain sundae (please, try it).

The boiled pork and liver were also boiled so well that they weren't chewy or dry at all.

After enjoying the meal, finishing off with the yogurt and coffee by the entrance makes for the perfect lunch. (A restaurant that gives out yogurt for dessert is just so cute and warm 😖)
How to adjust the spice level of Suraok's sundae soup
⭐️ In my personal opinion, Suraok Sundae Soup was less spicy than Shin Ramyun, more around the spice level of Jin Ramyun's spicy version, and the Spicy Sundae Soup was a bit spicier than Shin Ramyun, so order accordingly.
Is Suraok Sundaeguk worth it for a hangover breakfast?
✅️ Perfect flavor, affordable prices, and friendly service — if you're looking for a great sundae soup restaurant near Juan Station, this is a must-visit. It's not just great for curing a hangover but also for lunch near Juan Station, and since the space is clean and spacious, it's highly recommended for group meals or family outings too.
