Large Gimhae café with a small library and tiramisu: Peer a Peer
In short
Peer a Peer is a 2,000-pyeong bakery café in Jillye-myeon, Gimhae, created inside a revived 40-year-old factory. A stop after the Clayarch Museum brought a hot Americano at 5,500 won, an iced matcha latte at 6,500 won, mango lemon ade at 7,000 won and tiramisu at 8,000 won, and the Momos beans coffee and the bitter Kyoto Uji matcha stood out most. With a small library and exhibition space set apart from the main seating, Peer a Peer lets everyone rest the way they like.

Peer a Peer, a large Gimhae café I stopped by after visiting the Clayarch Museum. A spacious space converted from a factory, deep-flavored coffee made with Momos beans, and a range of bakery items made fresh in-house — it was such a healing weekend afternoon!

Where is Peer a Peer, and how is the parking?

Peer a Peer, a large Gimhae café located in Jillye-myeon, Gimhae. I visited back when it first opened, so it's been a while since I came back. ^^ It sits in such an open, empty-looking area that you genuinely wonder 'is there really a café here?' The space was revived from a 40-year-old factory, and the raw, unfinished feel is really its charm.

There's a reed field outside, making it a solid outdoor photo zone too.

The wide-open dedicated parking lot in front of the café. With space for around 100 cars, it's incredibly convenient. ^^
Bakery baked daily in-house, with ciabatta the favorite

The open-style order counter you see right as you walk in.

A wide variety of baked goods made fresh in-store every day. Apparently ciabatta, Peer a Peer's signature bakery item, is especially popular. Since we'd just eaten, we went with tiramisu instead... (what logic is that? no to bread but yes to tiramisu? haha)
Exhibitions, performances and a small library inside Peer a Peer

The 'small library' on the right side of the café, stocked with all kinds of books. I wanted to sit here, but sadly it was full. ㅠㅠ The tables are spaced generously far apart, so it seems like the perfect spot to read quietly without any interference from neighboring seats.

The left side of the café, unlike the quiet mood of the small library, is a good spot for chatting with friends.

A space where you can view artwork hung above a giant stone table. This kind of exhibition format is so unique and fresh. ^^ Peer a Peer, a large Gimhae café, is a cultural space that hosts exhibitions and performances together — you can check the schedule via Naver Place updates or Instagram.
What we ordered: Americano, matcha latte, mango lemon ade and tiramisu
- Americano (hot) ₩5,500
- Iced matcha latte ₩6,500
- Mango lemon ade ₩7,000
- Tiramisu ₩8,000
Lined up together, our drinks were all such different colors~ The Americano at Peer a Peer, a large Gimhae café, uses Momos beans, and the well-balanced coffee flavor, sweet yet with a nutty aroma, is excellent.

A matcha latte made with Kyoto Uji matcha. Lately every matcha latte I've had has been so watery that I'd stopped ordering them for a while, but I figured this place might be different, so I ordered it~ A matcha latte with almost no sweetness where the deep, bitter flavor of matcha really comes through! If you love matcha lattes, this one won't disappoint you. ^^
The mango lemon ade has a whole mango sherbet sitting on top of the lemon ade, so the visual alone is so lovely~~*^^* Let the sherbet melt slowly as you drink, and the lemon's tartness and the mango's sweetness blend together so nicely~

Tiramisu served in a glass cup. Soft cream and deeply rich espresso come together for a sweet-bitter flavor that pairs perfectly with coffee. ^^ It had a much heavier dusting of cocoa powder than other cafés, which was also very satisfying.
Who will enjoy Peer a Peer in Gimhae?
A good place to sit and read quietly, a good place to appreciate art and clear your head, a good place to catch up with friends — Peer a Peer is a spot where, within its large space, everyone can spend their time leisurely according to their own needs, with a cup of coffee in hand. It was a real healing time~~*^^*
