I went to Songdo to catch the 2026 Islive Festival at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park~! Close to the park and perfect for a quick meal, I stopped by 'Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch' — it turned out to be a great Incheon Songdo lunch spot~!

Where is Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch, and what are its hours?

This Incheon Songdo restaurant is located toward the back gate of the Songdo 1-gongu grocery mart~!

  • Hours: 11:00 – 21:00
  • Last order: 20:30

Parking and the restaurant's exterior

There's a large basement parking lot right beside the building, so it was easy to visit by car~! The lot had wide lanes for comfortable driving and plenty of parking space!

The clean, tidy exterior had that distinct feel of a Korean restaurant, and the tiled-roof entrance gave it a cozy, traditional touch that made it easy to spot from a distance haha

Inside Eonyang Dak Kalguksu: seating and solo dining spots

Clean, cozy seating inside the restaurant

The interior was more clean and comfortable than flashy, and most of the guests seemed to be families out for a meal — it felt like a good spot for a hearty meal haha. There were also solo dining seats, which seemed handy for nearby office workers or students looking for a healthy meal on their own~!

Menu and prices at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu

The menu isn't huge — chicken kalguksu, dak gomtang, Eonyang-style kalguksu, chewy mandu, spicy braised chicken, soy braised chicken — but since it's mostly chicken dishes, I was looking forward to it!

A lot of people were ordering takeout too — you can choose the noodle packing style, kimchi type, and whether you need utensils~

For dak gomtang, you need to select 'rice on the side' if you want a separate bowl of rice — otherwise it comes with the rice already mixed into the soup!

Eonyang dak kalguksu is made with rich chicken bone broth and perilla seeds, and since the noodles are house-made, it's even more delicious!

How long does the food take, and what's at the self-serve kimchi bar?

Notice on aged noodle cooking time next to a table setting

The aged noodles are boiled fresh every 15 minutes, so the cooking time is about 15 minutes~!

Each table had its own set of dishes plus salt and pepper — essentials for both dak gomtang and chicken kalguksu!

While waiting for the food, they set out pickled radish, spicy kimchi, and mild kimchi from the self-serve bar haha

They make fresh kimchi with domestic napa cabbage every morning, but the spicy kimchi was really spicy — as a spice wimp, I grabbed the mild one instead haha. If you like your kalguksu spicy and bold, they say adding kimchi like a chili paste to the gomtang or kalguksu makes it even tastier!

How do the chicken kalguksu, dak gomtang and chewy mandu taste?

The chicken kalguksu, dak gomtang, and chewy mandu all arrived together!

A bowl of chicken kalguksu with half a chicken inside

Both the dak gomtang and chicken kalguksu come with half a chicken, so it's great for recharging your energy and eating a filling meal~

Chopsticks lifting house-made kalguksu noodles

Since the kalguksu noodles are house-made, they kept their chewy texture, and slurping them up while chewing was so satisfying! The mild yet deep broth soaked well into the noodles, so every bite brought out that savory chicken broth flavor — so delicious!

Chicken dipped in salt and pepper

Personally, dipping the chicken lightly in a mix of salt and pepper was the way to go!

Dak gomtang served with rice mixed in

The dak gomtang, with half a chicken in a piping hot broth, felt like a hearty, easy-on-the-stomach soup-rice meal haha. The rice comes already mixed in, which made it easy to eat, and the chicken was so tender that it paired perfectly with the broth and kimchi!

The chewy mandu I ordered as a side dish was more satisfying than I expected — the wrapper had a truly chewy, springy texture that got more fun with every bite~ The filling was mild and nutty, pairing well with the chicken kalguksu or dak gomtang haha.

A final bowl piled high with chicken

Since Eonyang Dak Kalguksu's dishes all come loaded with chicken, a single bowl was enough for a filling meal! That's my review of the chicken kalguksu and dak gomtang at 'Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch,' a solid lunch spot in Incheon Songdo!
