A new avocado café near Isunsin Square in Yeosu
Whenever I plan a Yeosu trip, the area around Isunsin Square always makes the itinerary. It's packed with good food, so it's always crowded with long waits. This time I want to review a new avocado spot I found there — Avocado Yeosu.

A uniquely concepted avocado café had opened up, and it had this Vietnam vibe going on, like a trendy little corner of Vietnam had landed in Korea. I'd been worn out by greasy food and sugary street snacks, so I went looking for something fresh and healthy and found this place.

If you're someone who loves avocados, you can't walk past this cute, trendy space. Once you actually step inside, adorable avocado plushies greet you everywhere. There was even a Vietnamese staff member working there, which made it feel even more like a trip to Vietnam.

What's on the menu at Avocado Yeosu?
Avocado Yeosu keeps its menu simple: avocado coffee, smoothie, soy latte, ice cream, banh mi, and americano. It felt like the focus was really on the avocado ingredient itself rather than piling on menu items, which I actually appreciated.

Two free gifts from the receipt review event
On top of that, Avocado Yeosu was running a receipt review event! And there was no limit — they gave you a gift for every review you wrote, so generous. We had two receipts and got a mango and a Faceless (No-Face) doll each, haha.

Since this place is all about avocado, they also sold avocado oil separately in the store. You know avocado oil is good for you, right?!

Self-serve bar, Vietnam-style interior and seating
And they thoughtfully set up a self-serve station with a disposable knife for cutting the banh mi, ice cream spoons, straws, and cup holders. The owner clearly has good taste, haha. There was even a restroom inside the store for customers to use.

Stepping further inside, a cozy yet clean interior welcomes you. The green tones that evoke avocado paired with wood tones felt very comfortable. There was a waiting area, plus chairs and tables inside where you could sit and eat for a bit.

Avocado smoothie and banh mi: how do they taste, and how big?
We ordered the banh mi and avocado smoothie, waited a bit, and the food arrived! But is the banh mi size for real, lol. It was way bigger than the banh mi I had in Vietnam — huge enough that two people could easily share just one, and it was packed with fillings. The avocado smoothie also came in a generous portion, topped with a good amount of coconut powder.

Avocado Yeosu's smoothie was truly smooth, and from the very first sip you could tell how much avocado went into it — the aroma was that strong. Because the avocado ratio was so high, it felt refreshing yet gave a satisfying, hearty fullness. That distinct rich, nutty flavor spread through my mouth, and 'delicious' just came out involuntarily the moment I tasted it! The portion is really generous too, lol.

And the banh mi, which also works well as a hearty brunch, had plenty of fresh sliced avocado packed between crispy toasted baguette bread. Crunchy vegetables, a special sauce, and bulgogi were all layered in harmony, so the visual was amazing too. The carrot slaw added a bright, appetite-sharpening touch. The baguette was crispy outside and moist inside, giving that satisfying crunch.

Even eating it as a full meal replacement, we were completely full and satisfied. The portion is so big that if you're eating it as a snack after a meal, one banh mi should be plenty for two people to share. At Avocado Yeosu you can have both taste and health — definitely try the smoothie + banh mi combo! Totally recommend it!!
