Why I went looking for a brunch café near Boryeong City Hall

It's suddenly gotten very autumn-like these past few days. One of those stretches where you just want to hop in the car for a light drive and outing somewhere. So over the weekend, wanting a change of scenery, I took a drive out to Boryeong in Chungnam. As they say, even Geumgangsan is best seen after a meal, so I wanted to enjoy some relaxed time with good food, which led me to a brunch café near Boryeong City Hall.

The place I'm introducing today is Green Brownie Boryeong City Hall Branch. It's close to downtown Boryeong yet convenient for parking, and the atmosphere is so comfortable that it turns out to be a well-known Boryeong spot for both locals and visitors heading to Daecheon Beach or elsewhere nearby.

As soon as the food arrived, I couldn't help but admire how generous and pretty it looked. The saying that food that looks good also tastes good fit perfectly here.

True to its status as the signature dish, the brunch set was really well put together — warm, freshly baked-tasting, savory bread paired harmoniously with fresh salad, egg, and dressing.

Every ingredient was fresh, giving it excellent texture, and paired with a rich, deep cup of coffee, it was a mouthful of happiness. It held its own as a light yet satisfying and filling meal.

A sausage burger packed with juice

The sausage burger I ordered out of curiosity was stunning from the first look. Between soft buns, a satisfyingly springy sausage, crunchy vegetables, and sauce all came together generously, so every bite burst with juice and flavor. It's really the perfect menu item for brunch or a light meal when you're hungry — great for filling up before or after a stop at Daecheon Beach.

I could see exactly why so many people strongly recommend this place as one of the best brunch or café spots in Boryeong. It nailed both taste and visuals, making for an enjoyable time the whole meal through.

They even have chairs ready for young kids.

Would I go back?

From the atmosphere to the food to the service, Green Brownie Boryeong City Hall Branch was thoroughly satisfying all around.
