Patty melt with signature-sauce fries in Gwanak, Seoul: Daily Fix

I went to Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance, a burger spot known for its handmade patties, located three minutes on foot from Exit 2 of Seoul National University Entrance Station right at the start of Sharosu-gil!!!!

It's famous as a place to eat near Seoul National University, even for solo dining!! The burgers are made by chefs with backgrounds at 3-Michelin-star restaurants in New York, and apparently the place came in 2nd place at the Korea Burger Championship by just 0.02 points!! Losing by 0.02 points... lol that's really close

The place is super cute but also spacious haha~ the yellow sofas are adorable, and it has a bit of a foreign burger joint vibe!

After ordering I looked around and apparently this is a burger place that Davichi's Kang Min-kyung raved about!!! I tend to fully trust celebrity-recommended restaurants lol

Corn Salad, 4,900 won: the side that cuts the richness

A side dish where sweet corn kernels mix with a smooth mayo-based sauce haha

The sweet-and-tangy flavor balanced really well with the rich, juicy burgers, cutting through the greasiness nicely!!

And our conscience-saving zero-sugar cola lol

The owner's burger-making skills seem really impressive lol — so much care put in — and handling both delivery and dine-in orders too!!!!

Bacon Cheese Burger, 14,100 won: a competition runner-up

First I tried the signature Bacon Cheese Burger. The bacon was on a whole different level from any bacon I've had before!!! Strong smoky aroma and thick-cut, so the bite was really satisfying.

The pairing with the mustard sauce was seriously perfect!!! This is the burger that took 2nd place at the Korea Burger Championship lol — one bite in and I totally got why it placed!!

New Patty Melt, 18,800 won: one for baguette lovers

The new patty melt menu item impressed me too. The bread is crispy outside and moist inside, so for someone like me who loves baguette-style bread, this was totally my type haha

It's also loaded with caramelized onions! The combo of cheese, meat patty, and onion was absolutely fantastic!!!

The real story: Daily Fix's 18mm fries and signature sauce

I can't talk about this place without mentioning the fries ㅠㅠㅜ They're thick-cut at 18mm, and since I already love potatoes, this was pure heaven for me.....

I can confidently say these are the overwhelming No. 1 fries out of every fast-food fries I've had in Seoul!!! Crispy outside, moist and fluffy inside!

The signature sauce I ordered on the side had a strong peppery aroma and went perfectly with the fries lol I'd buy it if they sold the sauce separately!!
