Hello! Today I'm writing up my visit to Pork80, a black pork restaurant near Jeju Airport.
It's close to Jeju Airport, so it's great for a meal on the day you land or right before you leave Jeju. It's also a hot Nanchuk Matdon (난축맛돈) spot that's been featured on Choi Ja Road~~
What is Nanchuk Matdon?! It means "delicious pork made by the Nanji Livestock Research Center" 🐷

What's on the Pork80 menu?
— The menu — Pork80, this Jeju black pork restaurant, sells not just regular black pork but also raw galbi (short ribs) and more! They also carry sake, shochu, and other imported liquors, so pair your delicious meat with some good drinks too~

At Pork80, this black pork restaurant in Jeju City, there's a receipt-review event running now where you can get Jeju ice cream or drinks as a bonus — everyone should join in and eat well!

So many different drinks!
Inside Pork80: seating and atmosphere
— Seating inside — A clean, comfortable interior with retro vibes all over it. The tables are pushed together, so it'd work well for a group dinner too.
They display the meat in plain view, which makes Pork80, this black pork restaurant in Jeju City, feel trustworthy.

There's also a guide posted on how to enjoy the pork best — make sure to follow it~

Side dishes, matcha salt and a pot of meljeot
— Side dishes — Scallion salad, pickled onions, seasoned radish, and more — the banchan (side dishes) come out neat and well arranged.
A plate given to each person! Matcha salt, ssamjang (dipping paste), and mustard. It's not regular salt but matcha salt, which is kind of a fun surprise.
Then the meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) comes out, and it's served in a full pot. I love meljeot, so getting such a generous amount made me really happy 😻

Raw pork belly and raw pork shoulder, 23,000 won each
What I ordered: ✔️ raw pork belly ✔️ raw pork shoulder
- Raw pork shoulder ₩23,000
- Raw pork belly ₩23,000

You grill the meat yourself, but when you order the Nanchuk Matdon, staff grill the first batch for you!!

The heat was really strong so it cooked up fast — very satisfying, haha
The pork shoulder was thick, almost steak-like in appearance~! No gamey smell at all, and really tender.
And the pork belly! A good ratio of meat to fat. The juices practically burst out~

The staff member came over to help grill and topped the meat with chili pepper for the tastiest combo! As always, following the recommended combo made it even more delicious, haha

With so many side dishes, you can enjoy the meat in a bunch of different ways, which I really liked.
Dipped generously into the meljeot too, yum yum~ Since it comes in a pot, you can dip as much as you want without holding back, which I love! It has a spicy, salty flavor that really boosts the savory taste, and there was even tofu in it, kind of like a strong-flavored doenjang (soybean paste) style.

Draft Terra beer, ₩4,000. Can't resist a cold draft beer with delicious meat 🍻

On one side of the restaurant they also sell ice cream made with pure fruit juice, so finish off with something cool for dessert~~ Besides ice cream, they also sell hallabong (Jeju citrus) juice 🍊
