Today I went to 'Cheongmigwan Sejong Naseong Main Branch' in Naseong-dong, Sejong! I'd been craving jokbal (Korean braised pig's trotter) lately, so I searched for Sejong restaurants and found this place — it's already famous as a Naseong-dong restaurant too, so I went in with high expectations. The storefront was clean and upscale-looking from the outside, so my first impression was already great.

What is the restaurant like inside? Wood tones and wide-set tables

Opening the door, the cozy, sophisticated wood-tone interior won me over right away. Best of all, the tables were spaced far apart, so I could eat comfortably without bumping into other diners.

On one side of the store there was a delivery and takeout pickup zone, plus a clean sink area — I could feel the attention to detail.

They packed it generously and neatly into a shopping bag.

The jokbal kept its warmth, and the side dishes, vegetables, and sauce were all packed neatly too.

How does Cheongmi front-leg jokbal taste? A whole trotter boiled in Solomon's seal salt

The Cheongmi front-leg jokbal was glossy, and the side dish lineup was generous and varied. They said it's made from strictly selected, top-grade domestic front legs, boiled in onguljeobi (Solomon's seal root) salt roasted in-house, giving it a savory flavor — a whole trotter dish. Boiled slowly at low temperature in-store every day, it's served with an incredibly tender texture that practically melts, giving it a real touch of luxury.

The look of it alone was on another level — I couldn't help but gasp~

Generously plated jokbal spread

The trotter was piled generously, glistening with shine — the skin was wonderfully chewy and the meat inside was soft and moist, great texture and great taste.

Radish pickles, wrap vegetables, and dressed chives

It was seasoned just enough to enjoy without dipping sauce, but it was also great with salted shrimp, chili, or garlic, and the radish pickles and chili paste that came with it were crisp too. Paired with fresh wrap vegetables and dressed chives, it went great with rice — and honestly, it made me crave a drink, haha.

Before I knew it, we'd finished the whole thing. It really lived up to its name as a Sejong and Naseong-dong restaurant worth talking about! I took part in the review event too.
