Gopchang restaurant in Hanam Misa: perilla wraps, two sauces — Gobuni
In short
Gobuni Gopchang Hanam Misa Station Branch is a flame-grilled gopchang (beef intestines) restaurant on the first floor of Star Park at 87 Misagangbyeon-namro in Hanam, Gyeonggi. The sundae-gopchang for two arrives already grilled over open flame and keeps cooking gently on the tabletop burner, served with perilla leaf wraps and two sauces, chojang (sweet chili vinegar) and wasabi mayo, so the gopchang and the sundae (blood sausage) taste different in every bite. Gobuni Gopchang is an easy pick in Misa when a spicy gopchang craving hits.

On days when I'm craving gopchang (grilled beef intestines) in Misa, there's nothing like the fun of digging into it spicy-stir-fried with all the sides. This time I visited Gobuni Gopchang Hanam Misa Station Branch near Misa Station. The food comes out already charcoal-grilled, so it was great being able to keep it warm gently at the table as we ate.

Booking ahead for group visits
If you're coming as a group for a get-together or work dinner, I'd recommend checking with the restaurant beforehand about reservation availability. Especially with a larger group, it seems like a great spot to order a variety of menu items and share.
What the restaurant looks like inside and out

Located on the first floor of Star Park, the restaurant wasn't hard to spot from outside the building. The distinctive Gobuni Gopchang sign caught my eye right away, so even first-time visitors should be able to find it fairly easily.

If you're coming up from the parking lot, use the back door.

Inside, it has that comfortable gopchang-restaurant vibe, the kind of place that's nice for a drink alongside your meal. I couldn't get a photo of the other side because there were customers, but overall it's set up well for table dining, and besides eating in, you can also do takeout and delivery.

With this in-between season weather, bringing an outer coat is a must. You can store small personal items under your chair.

Utensils and tissues were neatly organized in the drawer.
Gobuni Gopchang menu and how to order at the tabletop kiosk

At Gobuni Gopchang you'll find a range of menu items including vegetable gopchang, egg-stuffed gopchang, charcoal-grilled gopchang, and dakbal (spicy grilled chicken feet). There's also a charcoal-grilled mixed platter that lets you try gopchang, makchang, and odolppyeo (cartilage) together, which looked like a good choice when you want to sample a bit of everything.

You order through the kiosk on the table.
What sundae-gopchang for two tastes like with perilla wraps and two sauces

The basic side dishes were perilla leaves, pickled radish, garlic, chili peppers, and ssamjang (thick dipping sauce). For sauces, we got chojang (vinegared chili sauce) and wasabi mayo, both of which went well with the sundae-gopchang.

This time I ordered sundae-gopchang for two. The dish comes out already charcoal-grilled, then gets gently reheated at the table, so it stayed warm from start to finish.

Having gopchang and sundae (Korean blood sausage) together meant a wider variety of textures than eating just one, and paired with the spicy seasoning, I kept reaching for more.

Chive salad and macaroni corn salad came as sides too, good for eating in between bites of gopchang.

Piling gopchang onto a perilla leaf with pickled radish, garlic, or chili to taste made for a whole different, enjoyable flavor.
The wasabi mayo and chojang were served separately so we could dip according to preference. Dipping sundae in the wasabi mayo and gopchang in the chojang gave each a distinct flavor, and it was fun trying different combinations.

Being charcoal-grilled, there was a subtle smoky char flavor throughout, which was a real highlight, and I also liked being able to keep it warm right at the table as we ate.
