Weekday family outing café in Pungse, Cheonan with a picnic zone: Pino

I went on a weekday outing with my family toward Pungse in Cheonan, just to get some fresh air. This time we visited Pino Cafe, located near Taehaksan Recreational Forest.

I usually like places where you can eat something good and chat comfortably, but this place also had a huge outdoor garden attached, so it felt different from a typical Cheonan café where you just drink coffee! We brought our dog Momo along too, and since Pino Cafe is a dog-friendly café that allows pets in the outdoor space, it made the visit that much more comfortable.

Where is Pino Cafe Cheonan, and how long does it take from downtown Cheonan?

Pino Cafe is located on Hyuyangnim-gil in Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam. Since it's near Taehaksan Recreational Forest, it's a nice spot to visit as a drive, and the café has its own parking space, so getting there by car was convenient.

On busy days like weekends, apparently you can also use the nearby Taehaksan parking lot (1-minute walk). It's a great location to visit when you want to step a bit outside downtown Cheonan and feel some nature, which made it perfect for our weekday family outing:)

Pino Cafe Cheonan hours: is it open during the Chuseok holiday?

The currently confirmed hours for Pino Cafe are daily from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM. It's open year-round, and it will also be open from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM during the Chuseok holiday on September 24, 2026.

Hours can change, so I'd recommend double-checking through the official channels before you visit. Like us, if you visit on a weekday afternoon, you'll probably be able to look around the space and enjoy brunch at a relatively relaxed pace.

Pino Cafe Cheonan menu, from brunch plates to bakery

Pino Cafe has not just drinks but a wide range of menu items including brunch, pasta, pizza, bakery goods, and desserts. So it's great as a Cheonan café to just grab a coffee, but it also worked well as a Cheonan brunch café when, like me, you want to handle a meal together with family. The bakery selection in particular was really varied — if you love bread, it's hard to just walk past it, haha.

The salt breads on display all looked so appetizing that I even filmed them. Since Pino Cafe has plenty of bakery items and desserts along with brunch, next time I'd love to properly try the bread selection along with brunch.

Once inside, the space was bigger than I expected, with tables set up in a variety of arrangements. The overall atmosphere blended well with nature, so it didn't feel like too much for a family visit, and the outdoor view through the windows was so pretty that my eyes kept drifting outside while eating.

One thing to note though — if you're visiting with a dog, only the outdoor space is available for pets. If you have a dog with you, I'd recommend visiting on a nice-weather day and enjoying the outdoor area.

Special lunch, aglio e olio and bulgogi & pepperoni pizza: brunch three ways

That day we ordered three items: the special lunch, aglio e olio pasta, and bulgogi & pepperoni pizza. First, the special lunch let us enjoy several dishes together, so it was great for sharing with family. It's a good order when just one dish feels like it's not enough — you get to enjoy a variety of flavors at once, which made it perfect for a family outing meal.

We also ordered the aglio e olio pasta, which was light with a nice garlic aroma, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. You can also choose the spice level, which is great for enjoying with kids. Last was the bulgogi & pepperoni pizza.

You could enjoy the familiar flavor of bulgogi together with the salty pepperoni, which made it easy to share with family. Ordering all three dishes together made it feel less like brunch and more like a pretty solid full meal. So personally, I felt this is a better place to visit when you're looking for a Cheonan brunch café where you can have a proper meal, rather than a Cheonan café for just coffee and dessert.

After finishing our meal, we checked out the outdoor space, which I'd been looking forward to the most. One of Pino Cafe's biggest draws is definitely its sprawling outdoor garden. It's about 3,000 pyeong in size, and apparently the garden scenery changes with each season.

On a day like this, when the breeze has just started to turn cool, it was genuinely great to spend time outdoors.

Outside, there are also picnic zones and camp-picnic style spaces, which looked great for visiting with family or friends on a nice day.

We enjoyed brunch outdoors with our dog, and it felt like a different kind of ease compared to eating indoors. Sitting with family, eating, chatting, and walking around with our dog — even though it was just a short weekday outing, it felt like a proper healing session.

Verdict: Pino Cafe Cheonan is a half-day family outing spot

Pino Cafe, the Cheonan brunch café we visited after wondering where to go with family on a weekday. Being able to enjoy good brunch, pasta, and pizza together, plus the spacious outdoor garden, made it feel less like a plain coffee café and more like a half-day outing destination.
