Today I went to Hantiok, a Lotte Department Store restaurant and a well-known Korean spot in Guwol-dong, Incheon!! This place does hanjeongsik (traditional set meals) really well, and it's perfect for lunch or dinner after shopping at the department store. Let me introduce it!!

Hantiok is on basement floor 1 of Lotte Department Store, and there are plenty of seats so it's great for group meals — there's even a dedicated Hantiok table area〜️ Since it's inside the department store, the restaurant felt really clean✨

Hantiok menu and what comes with each set meal

Let me introduce the menu! Hantiok serves a variety of Korean dishes: bossam set, makguksu, Andong guksu, Andong gukbap, hanwoo mubap, hanwoo seolleongtang, hanwoo gomtang, and gondre bibimbap! À la carte dishes come with basic side dishes only, while the sets come with jeyuk or bossam, tofu, and a variety of side dishes.

They also have yeolmu guksu (young radish greens noodles) as a seasonal menu! I'd love to try that too, refreshingly cold in summer〜️ Here's what I ordered! Mul-makguksu set ₩20,000, bossam set ₩22,000. It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out.

Mul-makguksu set, 20,000 won: dongchimi broth, bossam and dumplings

The mul-makguksu set! This is the one I ate〜️ It's an incredibly generous set with bossam, dumplings, tofu, and basic side dishes all included. The mul-makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles in broth) had a cool, clean broth that was totally my style — the mild dongchimi (radish water kimchi) base was so delicious.

Like naengmyeon broth, they give you mustard and vinegar to season it yourself, but the makguksu's natural flavor was so good I didn't need to add anything!

The bossam that came with it was tender and soft, perfect eaten with the kimchi, and the dumplings were super juicy with a jam-packed filling — I took a big bite and the addictive meat dumplings were amazing! The kimchi here was honestly the real kicker — it went so well with both the makguksu and bossam that I ate it happily. I want to eat that juicy, odor-free boiled pork again 👍

Buckwheat noodles in a dongchimi broth, sweet and tangy so you keep reaching for more — it refreshes your palate so you can eat without feeling weighed down! It's the kind of food that brings back a lost appetite, so I definitely recommend it. Makguksu with bossam is the best combo, so try ordering the set 👏

The mul-makguksu set came out neatly arranged, and the portion was generous, so I left really full~~

Bossam set, 22,000 won: paired with spicy hanwoo Andong gukbap

Let me introduce the bossam set too! This spread comes with Andong gukbap and bossam together! A spicy, savory hanwoo (Korean beef) gukbap with bossam — if you love Korean food, this is a must-order 😍 The spicy, fiery hanwoo gukbap has an unforgettable flavor!

I'm normally a gukbap (rice and soup) lover, and the broth had a deep, delicious flavor that made it great as a hangover cure too! There was plenty of meat and ingredients in it, so I could enjoy it heartily!

The gukbap had a strong savory depth, and it paired surprisingly well with the soft bossam! For anyone wanting a hearty, satisfying meal, I highly recommend this combo too!

Hantiok was completely delicious — now I'm curious about the whole menu, so next time I plan to try the Andong guksu too 💕

Tofu comes with the set too, so you can even make dubu-kimchi (tofu with kimchi) with it, and with so many side dishes to pair with the bossam, the flavors keep changing so you never get bored — I was able to clear the whole set 👍

Is Hantiok worth it for a Korean meal inside the department store?

Hantiok pursues clean, delicious Korean food! It wasn't overly strong-flavored but was still so tasty that I'd want to come back often — a hanjeongsik place I really liked. As a restaurant inside a department store, the quality is far better than a typical food court, so I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Hantiok, packed with a variety of Korean dishes, is a great spot in Guwol-dong when you want to eat heartily — good for family, couples, or group gatherings, so I'd suggest stopping by after shopping at the department store 🥹 I go to the Incheon Lotte Department Store often, and this is a hanjeongsik restaurant I'd love to visit again with my parents — Hantiok, highly recommended 😍
