Hanwoo gomtang set with extra tofu at Hantiok, an Incheon restaurant

In short

Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is a Korean restaurant on the basement first floor food court of Lotte Department Store Incheon, in Michuhol, Incheon. On a visit with children, the order was the hanwoo gomtang (beef bone soup) set for 21,000 won and the makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) set for 20,000 won, with a 5,000 won plate of tofu added to share. The lightly seasoned gomtang and the tofu were easy for kids to eat, making Hantiok a solid meal before or after department store shopping.

Korean set meal spread at Hantiok Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch

When you're shopping at Lotte Department Store Incheon, it can be hard to decide what to eat for lunch or dinner. Today I went with my kids to Hantiok at Lotte Department Store Incheon for a hearty Korean meal. Hantiok is on the basement 1st floor food court of Lotte Department Store Incheon, so it's a convenient spot to grab a meal while shopping. Since Incheon Terminal Station connects directly to the department store's basement level, it's also easy to reach by public transit.

Dedicated seating in front of Hantiok and the surrounding food court space

Hantiok is located near the food court on the basement 1st floor of Lotte Department Store Incheon. There's dedicated Hantiok seating right in front of the store, and if there's no space, you can also use the shared food court seating nearby.

We came by car, so we parked in the Lotte Department Store parking lot, and after eating, the staff registered our parking at the store. It was convenient to be able to handle both the meal and shopping at the department store.

For reference, Lotte Department Store Incheon offers free parking time based on your purchase amount:

  • 1 hour for purchases over ₩30,000
  • 2 hours for ₩50,000
  • 3 hours for ₩100,000, and so on

Free parking needs to be processed at the store before you leave.

Hantiok menu and set meal prices

Hantiok menu board listing set meals and à la carte dishes

Hantiok's menu has a variety of Korean dishes, including bossam (boiled pork wraps), gukbap (soup with rice), gomtang, seolleongtang, and makguksu. You can order à la carte or choose a set meal that comes with several side dishes together. Since we visited with our kids, we ordered the hanwoo gomtang set and the makguksu set today, plus an extra tofu.

The signature menu prices are:

  • Hanwoo gomtang set: ₩21,000
  • Bossam set: ₩22,000
  • Andong gukbap set: ₩20,000
  • Makguksu set: ₩20,000
  • Gondre bibimbap set: ₩20,000
  • Tofu: ₩5,000

And gukbap items get a ₩2,000 discount for takeout. You can order simply à la carte, or if you want several side dishes and accompaniments together, go with a set meal — either way, the menu was easy to navigate.

※ Menu and prices may vary depending on when you visit.

Hanwoo gomtang set, 21,000 won: sharing it with the kids

Hanwoo gomtang set served with a spread of side dishes

Here's the hanwoo gomtang set that arrived first. Ordering it as a set meant it didn't come with just the gomtang alone — several side dishes were served together, making the table feel full.

Hantiok hanwoo gomtang broth served alongside rice

The gomtang, with its warm broth, went well with rice, and I thought this kind of soup-based Korean dish would be a good option if you're looking for something to eat with kids. Since we visited with our child, having one dish like gomtang that wasn't strongly seasoned made the meal much easier.

Side dish plates served with the set meal

We could also share the side dishes that came with the set little by little, so our child ate the gomtang and tofu while the adults got to try a variety of other dishes.

What comes with the 20,000 won makguksu set at Hantiok?

And here's the makguksu set I ordered because I wanted it! At Hantiok, you can order makguksu à la carte, but the set comes with bossam, bossam kimchi, mandu (dumplings), tofu, and basic side dishes, so I'd recommend the set if you want to eat a variety of things together.

The makguksu was refreshingly cool, and eating the noodles with the broth felt clean and light. Especially compared to eating makguksu alone, being able to pair it with the other dishes in the set made it a much heartier meal.

Eating the bossam alongside the makguksu, and adding in tofu and mandu here and there, let us enjoy a wider range of flavors than sticking to just one dish.

Why we added the 5,000 won tofu

An extra plate of tofu ordered at Hantiok

We also added an extra tofu that day. The set already includes tofu, but since we were eating with our child, we thought a little extra would be nice, and the savory tofu flavor was really good.

When eating with kids, it's nice to have an extra dish that isn't strongly seasoned, and tofu fit that need well. So if you're looking for a place to eat at the department store with kids, I think a set meal like this would work well.

Is Hantiok an easy Korean meal to eat with children?

If you're visiting with kids like we did, I'd recommend not just ordering one dish, but going with something gentle for children like the gomtang. It's also a plus that the restaurant is inside the department store, making it easy to plan shopping or other errands before or after the meal.

Hantiok's atmosphere and seating in the food court

Hantiok is a food court store, but it has its own dedicated table space right next to it, so instead of feeling like eating in a food court, we could sit and eat somewhat more comfortably and quietly. It was also convenient that food models were displayed right next to the ordering counter, so we could check in advance what the actual dish looked like before choosing.

Being able to choose based on the actual food models rather than just the menu board made it easier to pick a menu on a first visit, and our child liked being able to look and choose directly too.

On days when you're shopping or on a date at Lotte Department Store and want a clean Korean meal instead of pizza or pasta, or if you're looking for a place to eat with kids, Hantiok at Lotte Department Store Incheon seemed like a solid option.

The set meals in particular are good for sharing when visiting as a family, since you get to eat several dishes together rather than just one. We also shared hanwoo gomtang and makguksu with our kids and had a hearty, satisfying meal. 😊
