Wedding photo suit rental near Apgujeong Rodeo: Heritz Tailor

I've been getting my wedding prep done bit by bit lately, and this time I went to rent suits for our wedding photo shoot~ The suit rental shop near Apgujeong Rodeo Station I visited was Heritz Tailor Cheongdam Rental Shop!

The suit for the actual wedding ceremony will be sorted separately right before the wedding, after the photo shoot, so this time we decided to pick two rental suits just for the wedding photos! What we had in mind going in was one bright-colored suit + one dark-colored suit combo~ We figured having these two different moods would give us more variety in the photos~ I went in feeling excited wondering which suits would suit my fiancé best (❁´◡`❁)

Where is Heritz Tailor Cheongdam Rental Shop, and what are its hours?

Heritz Tailor Cheongdam Rental Shop is located at 21 Apgujeong-ro 72-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and is open daily 11:00–20:00, closed every Monday. Valet parking is available, restrooms are separated by gender, and there's a waiting area too.

Getting to Heritz Tailor Cheongdam Rental Shop by foot wasn't as hard as I expected! Coming out of Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 3, turn left onto the alley by the Dior store, walk about 200 meters, and you'll reach Dongyang Building. The sign is easy to spot, and going down to the basement level, the Heritz Tailor rental shop appears~

What if the wedding shoot ends late? Unmanned returns at Heritz Tailor

The sign at the entrance of Heritz Tailor rental shop said same-day pickup and same-day return is the default. But there's a separate unmanned return space available for late hours too, which looked really convenient!

Near the store entrance there was also detailed info about the suit rental process, which I read through before going in~ I was worried about what to do with the return if our shoot ran a bit late, like ours did. Apparently wedding photo shoots take longer than expected once you factor in all the prep, but thankfully there's unmanned return for people like us!

Inside Heritz Tailor: how many suit styles are there?

The moment we opened the door, the first thing that caught my eye was mannequins wearing suits! On one side there was also a referral event notice — currently running an event giving Shinsegae gift vouchers to both the person who refers and the person referred.

We visited on a weekday so it wasn't crowded, but the space itself is pretty spacious, so I bet weekends get busy with people renting suits haha. There's a nice waiting area with sofas on one side, so we looked around while waiting to be guided~

But as I looked through the suits, I was surprised by how many types there were — true to the Heritz Tailor rental shop name! Shoes for the shoot could be rented together too, and the suits varied a lot in color and fabric!

I went up close to take some photos, and the fabric texture varied a bit from suit to suit, with double-breasted to single-breasted jackets and everything in between, so it was fun just looking around. Honestly, from what I saw with my own eyes, there must've been at least 30 different types?

While waiting to be guided through the rental process, it was quite fun to look closely at all the different types of rental suits hanging there~ And especially for a photo shoot, you can try bright colors you wouldn't normally wear day-to-day, so having lots of options is definitely a plus.

Choosing a wedding shoot suit that suits the groom

By the time we'd more or less finished looking around, the tailor guided us further inside to start actually choosing suits~ We came in thinking of one dark suit + one bright suit combo~ Since the ceremony suit would be sorted separately later, this time we decided to start with basic suits that would work well for the shoot~

During consulting, the tailor first asked us about the colors, styles, and mood we had in mind. And rather than just looking at colors, they carefully asked about my fiancé's face shape and usual taste, considering together what style would suit him best~

After talking it through, they took precise measurements! And we picked out about 4 candidate suits we'd been eyeing while waiting, to try on!

Suit 1: black suit with a vest

First up was, of course, the most classic option — black! Just looking at the jacket alone, I thought 'it's just a plain black suit?' and didn't think much of it. But once he put on the vest with it, the whole vibe suddenly changed haha! It really had that formalwear feel, and I realized just how important a vest can be!

And surprisingly, black suited my fiancé better than dark navy, so I thought this would be the one for the shoot. It had a basic yet classic vibe that seemed like a solid fit for wedding photos.

Suit 2: light brown suit

Next up was a bright brown suit with a slight yellow tint! It had stitching detail on the collar as a jacket accent point, and the fit itself was pretty solid! But once he actually put it on, it made his face look a bit darker than we expected?

The tailor suggested a calm ivory-colored tie to pair with it, and once we tried a brighter tie, his face brightened right up — so we thought, 'then why not go even brighter?' and moved on to try the next suit!

Suit 3: bright beige suit — the winner

And this is where the 'this is it!!' feeling hit,, A bright beige with just a drop of ivory in it — this was seriously perfect on my fiancé~ Being a bright color, it made his face look noticeably brighter, and it felt like it would photograph really well!

On top of that, the tailor recommended a dark maroon tie, and pairing it together made it even better. The bright beige suit with a dark tie kept the overall look from feeling flat — instead it felt both stable and bright. So the bright suit was decided without a second thought!!

Renting shoes and accessories at Heritz Tailor

I thought Heritz Tailor Cheongdam Rental Shop only did suit rentals, but they also have accessories available to rent! Especially for shoot outfits, the vibe changes a lot depending on whether you just pair a shirt and tie, add the jacket, or throw in a pocket square, right? So we're planning to try mixing and matching different accessories on the actual shoot day~

And most of all, the tailor gave really great accessory recommendations! Rather than just looking at the colors we had in mind, they considered my fiancé's face shape and taste, along with the suit's color and material, which made choosing much easier than I expected~

Final pick: a black suit and a bright beige suit

At first I thought we'd just need to rent two shoot suits, but once we actually tried a bunch on, choosing turned out to be pretty fun,, Heritz Tailor Cheongdam Rental Shop stood out most for its wide variety of suits and the convenience of renting shoes and accessories together, which made prepping for the shoot feel easy~

Also, thanks to the tailor considering my fiancé's face shape and taste in their recommendations, choosing the shoot suits went smoothly! In the end we went with the black suit and bright beige suit combo! The dark suit for a classic feel, and the bright suit for a more radiant mood — I'm excited to capture a few different moods in the shoot.
