Hongdae nail salon dried rose pink magnetic gel nails: Byuazeu

The weather's been getting a little cooler lately and I kept thinking, ah, autumn is really coming 🍂 With the season changing I wanted a little refresh, and it had been a while since I'd made my nails pretty, so this time I went to Byuazeu Hongdae.

Weekday lunch booking at Byuazeu Hongdae: no wait

Byuazeu Hongdae is a nail, lash, and skincare shop on Hongik-ro 2-gil near Hongik University Station. I booked for around lunchtime on a weekday and got seated right away with no wait — there were even drinks set out at the waiting seats, and the shop interior was clean and comfortable!

Why dried rose pink is the autumn color to pick

For this visit I picked a pink tone that reminded me of a dried rose. I like choosing colors that match the season when I get my nails done, and this autumn I was drawn to something a bit calmer and more atmospheric rather than something too bright. So I went with a pink that felt like a dried rose 🌹 (I only had the color changed on this month's design).

The color looked even prettier on my actual nails than in photos. It's a soft rosy pink base overall, with each nail given a slightly different touch so it doesn't feel monotonous, while still keeping a unified mood across the whole set.

A few fingers got a subtly pearly magnetic pink color, and it sparkled so nicely whenever it caught the light ✨ It's not a flashy kind of magnetic nail though — more of a quiet shimmer, easy to wear daily. And I really liked the silver cubic line art that came in as an accent, too.

There were sooo many pretty art samples inside the shop that I had a hard time deciding on the art and color 😅

40 minutes including art, with time to spare after

One of the things I was most satisfied with at Byuazeu Hongdae was the speed. What I liked most was how fast the service was! I had plans right after my nail appointment that day, so timing was on my mind when I booked, but it went so much faster than I expected — I was genuinely surprised. The whole thing, including the art, took only about 40 minutes!

Honestly, while making the nails pretty matters, I personally find it a bit hard when a service takes too long. Sitting still for a long stretch wears me down, and when I have plans right after, I start feeling rushed because of the time. But I'm kind of an impatient person lol, so finishing quickly was really nice this time. And I think I was even more satisfied because the result looked great despite how fast it went.

The color came out exactly the calm dried rose pink I wanted, and the pearl and cubic accents were applied neatly, so looking at my finished nails actually put me in a good mood. And I was able to make it to my next appointment with time to spare, haha.

Want pink instead of brown for autumn nails?

I liked this set even more because it wasn't a too-dark, too-heavy autumn color overall. Just because it's autumn doesn't mean you have to go with brown or deep burgundy, right? If you like pinks like I do but still want something seasonal, dried rose pink is really nice — calmer than a bright pink, but with more color than a nude pink, so it makes your hands look a little prettier too.

Adding subtle glitter and cubics on top made it feel not too much for everyday wear, while still carrying that autumn mood naturally. My clothes have been getting a bit more muted for the season too, and changing my nails like this really gave me a mood boost. It's such a small change, but getting your nails done always makes you feel good 💅🏻

I'm already wondering what color to try next. I got my nails done for the first time in a while as an autumn refresh, and just changing my nails made me glance at my hands extra often all day, haha.
