My friend lives in Wangsimni so I end up in Seongdong pretty often! But since it's such a familiar neighborhood, I kept going to the same old spots, so I really wanted to try somewhere new.

Nerdy Blue Burrow is a 3-minute walk from Exit 9 of Wangsimni Station, in an alley just off the main road. That day, my friend and I had dinner and then went looking for a second stop (dessert, haha), and it turned out there was a really well-reviewed dessert café this close by!

I've been all over Wangsimni so many times, but why did I only just find out about this place now…

I didn't know about it because it's tucked slightly inside the alley, but it's close to the station while still having that quiet, alley-specific feel, so I loved it from the very first impression.

What do the three signature desserts cost, and how do they taste?

At Nerdy Blue Burrow I ordered all three signature items: coffee of the month for ₩6,000, banana pudding for ₩6,500, and fresh cheesecake for ₩6,900. We'd already eaten dinner and were full, so I tried to pace myself, but there really is such a thing as a separate 'dessert stomach,' haha. So in the end I just ordered all the signature menu items.

The moment the order arrived

I was amazed by how good it looked, and after one bite, I was truly done for...

The banana pudding, which I was most excited for since every review kept praising it, made me nod in agreement the second I tasted it — now I get why it's famous.

Sweet yet soft, it just melts in your mouth — I honestly couldn't put my spoon down.

I'm a total sweet-tooth person who loves sweet desserts, but this wasn't even that sweet — so why was it so good? It also said takeout was available separately, and after tasting it I understood why everyone was taking it home... turns out everyone already knew it was amazing except me!

The fresh cheesecake we ordered alongside it was also rich and soft, and paired amazingly with the coffee — this really is a dessert café worth the hype.

Nerdy Blue Burrow is a cozy café with a calm, dark-toned interior, packed neatly with sofa seats and tables. Unlike loud, chaotic large cafés, it had the perfect mood for a light second stop and quiet chatting.

The overall vibe of the café is calm and dark-toned, which made me feel very relaxed.

The space isn't huge or particularly spacious, but the soft sofa seats and neatly arranged tables were laid out so well that I never felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there.

If you're someone who really cares about restrooms, this will definitely satisfy you, haha. There's a restroom inside the café, and it was super clean and well kept!

What I'd order again on a second visit

The cheesecake was truly excellent too, but if I visit again, I'll definitely be ordering this banana pudding no matter what.
