Why Dobana was the first stop after landing at Jeju Airport

Dobana is a café near Jeju Airport on Seosa-ro in Jeju City. After landing on Jeju, before really starting my trip, I wanted somewhere to rest for a bit, so I searched for cafés near Jeju Airport.

I was looking for a place that wasn't too far from the airport but still let me enjoy that just-arrived-in-Jeju excitement at a relaxed pace. That's how I found Dobana. I loved the vibe just from the photos, and it looked perfect for a coffee break before really starting the trip, so I decided to visit.

Inside Dobana: interior and seating

Walking into Dobana, a café near Jeju Airport, the interior was bigger than I expected. The tables were spaced out generously too, so it never felt cramped — a comfortable place to settle in.

The overall wood-tone interior gave off a warm, calm feeling. With plenty of seating, it was just the spot for a coffee break before starting a Jeju trip.

Further inside there was a separate space with long tables. It looked good for group visits too, so it seemed like a solid pick as a café near Jeju Airport for groups.

Deeper inside there was a space leading to the 'Doban Garden.' Priority for the Doban Garden goes to those who've reserved in advance, so if you'd like to use it, it's best to ask ahead.

On one side of the café there was also a space with green chairs and plants mixed in.

What bread and pastries Dobana bakes

Dobana had a wide range of bakery items alongside its coffee. From croissants to sausage bread, everything looked delicious enough that I spent a long time deciding.

There were plenty of salt bread varieties too, from the basic salt bread to garlic salt bread and choco batons. It was great to enjoy a drink and some bread easily at a café near Jeju Airport.

There was also almond salt bread and mocha salt bread — if you're someone who likes salt bread, it'd be fun to pick one of each.

The showcase also had a dessert topped with shine muscat grapes — the look of it caught my eye right away.

At the counter, a variety of coffee beans were neatly displayed. It gave the sense that this place cares as much about its coffee as its bakery, so I was excited to try it.

Americano, matcha oreum and two kinds of salt bread

At Dobana I ordered an Americano, matcha oreum, almond salt bread, and Udo peanut salt bread. We picked out two breads to try along with our drinks. Sitting in a sunny spot, the atmosphere was lovely — the perfect way to enjoy some downtime before starting the Jeju trip.

The matcha oreum was a matcha drink piled high with ice cream. With the deep matcha look plus the ice cream on top, it was sweet and pleasantly bitter at the same time.

Taking a spoonful, I could really taste the thick, rich matcha flavor.

The bread was cut into bite-sized pieces and I ate it with the cream — nutty and sweet, and really tasty. The Udo peanut salt bread was something I'd never seen before, and it paired perfectly with the Americano.

Is Dobana worth a stop on your first day in Jeju?

Dobana, which I visited while searching for a café near Jeju Airport, had a spacious, comfortable interior with a wide variety of bakery items and drinks, making it an easy place to relax. If you want to spend the start or end of your Jeju trip at a leisurely pace close to the airport, it's a café worth stopping by. If you're looking for a café near Jeju Airport, I highly recommend it!!
