The biggest feature of Fluffy Bake Shop in Gongdeok is that its breads are baked right in the shop.

High-quality Lescure butter is used, giving the desserts an extra layer of flavor.

Madeleines and financiers were roughly in the mid-₩3,000 range per piece.

Considering how expensive eating out has become lately, they seemed good value for the quality of the bread.

It is in a great location, about a two-minute walk after leaving Gongdeok Station Exit 2.

On the way, you will spot the highly visible white storefront. Cross the crosswalk and head this way. Be careful: if you go right without crossing, you will have to take a big detour.

A compact, quiet shop atmosphere

Inside, the shop was compact, modern, and neat.

There were also seats inside where you could have your treats with coffee.

The view outside is quiet even though it is near Gongdeok Station, making this a nice setting for a latte with a piece of salt bread or a madeleine.

There are various takeaway options, so please refer to the photo for pricing. The boxes cost extra and vary by size; you can choose from a four-piece lunchbox-style box to six-piece and 15-piece shopping-bag-style boxes, depending on the occasion.

The menu says that coffee gets a ₩1,000 discount when you order it to go.

I think the owner must be a Crayon Shin-chan fan, but the unspoken rule is to enjoy the figurines with your eyes only, right?

A wide range of breads and baked treats

With so many desserts, you can pick the breads you want and make your own gift combination, which is a real plus.

There were quite a few kinds of bread. Besides this carrot madeleine, I think I saw around 15 varieties, about nine kinds of financier, plus salt bread and egg tarts.

It seems the salt bread and egg tarts are this shop's best sellers. I managed to get the very last salt bread.

There were two egg tarts left, but I picked up just one for the next person.

This seems like a good place for anyone who enjoys choosing different breads one by one. I did not ask what time the breads come out, though. If possible, going early should give you more to choose from.

I took them home to eat. The salt bread was crisp on the outside and moist inside, so it was tasty and filling, and it went well with instant mix coffee too.

After trying it, I realized that the yellow cheese madeleine was delicious! The cheese was slightly tangy and savory, and its unexpectedly good flavor really surprised me. It costs ₩3,500.
