Unlike typical handmade burger spots that chop up the shrimp or use just a little, here the shrimp itself is big and generous, which made it clearly stand out among Seongsu's handmade burger options. It's a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exits 3 and 4, so accessibility was good. There's no self-owned parking at the restaurant, so

The whole place had a very hip atmosphere. Seating was mostly tables for two, though a few spots looked like they could fit three.

There's a self-bar set up so you can grab your own utensils and sauces easily. The staff were friendly, and the menu came in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English, making it a good spot for foreign guests too.

Biting in, juices burst out of the thick patty, and with every chew the cheese melted and stretched softly, followed by the savory saltiness of the bacon. The sweetness of the grilled onions balanced everything out, making it the kind of burger you keep reaching for bite after bite.

Grilled shrimp avocado burger with extra shrimp

Grilled Shrimp Avocado (spicy, light signature shrimp burger with char-grilled whole shrimp and avocado, ₩12,900, shrimp add-on ₩2,000) — my sister's grilled shrimp avocado was genuinely packed with shrimp. The shrimp themselves were big, and she said the smoky char flavor hit immediately with the first bite. On top of that, the avocado added a creamy texture that made the whole thing feel even richer.

Butter garlic fries and eggplant-mushroom fritters

Butter Garlic Fries (salty fries thickly coated in a rich, garlic-scented butter sauce, ₩6,900) — the moment the garlic scent hit, you could see the thick butter sauce coating the outside of the fries. Biting in, the crispy exterior gave way to a salty, savory finish.

Eggplant Mushroom Fritters (crispy, moist eggplant with whole king oyster mushrooms full of earthy aroma, 3 eggplant pieces and 3 mushroom pieces served with chipotle and ranch sauce, ₩7,500) — the eggplant fritters offered a fun contrast between the moist eggplant and the earthy mushroom, and dipping them in the chipotle and ranch sauces gave each bite a different appeal.

If I had to name a can't-fail pairing, I'd recommend the butter garlic fries with the double cheese burger and the eggplant mushroom fritters with the grilled shrimp avocado. The salty burger-and-fries combo plays off each other well, making it a hearty way to enjoy a Seongsu dinner.
