Cheonan Korean BBQ with potato wraps: Cham Dwaejitgan

I took a trip to Cheonan for a performance last time, and on our final day my boyfriend and I went to an amazing Korean BBQ restaurant😍💖 They grill everything for you from start to finish, and it was seriously delicious—such a great pork belly spot in Cheonan!!

Cham Dwaejitgan Cheonan Dujeong Branch

It is at 101-ho, 10 Wondujeong 5-gil, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea (충남 천안시 서북구 원두정5길 10 101호), and is open daily from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. Parking was also available right in front of the restaurant.

Before going back to Seoul, we were wondering what to have for our last meal in Cheonan. Then we found this Korean BBQ place with incredible grilling service and seriously tasty food, so we came right over😆💖 Being able to park right in front was so convenient too☺️💕

The exterior was neat too, and I was practically drooling just looking at the menu before we went in (?!)🤭 haha

An atmosphere made for dates and gatherings

Who knew a Korean BBQ restaurant could be this pretty...💖 The interior was so stylish and lovely too—I really liked it! With this kind of atmosphere, it is just perfect for a date, right!!!?🙈💕

There was even a place to charge your phone, and plenty of large tables, so it looked great for group get-togethers or company dinners too😆🩷

Pork grilled with rice-husk smoke and charcoal

Cham Dwaejitgan smokes its meat with rice husks!! Then it grills it over real charcoal, which is said to make the meat more tender🌸 This is a proper Korean BBQ place indeed...😍💕

The basic sides included kimchi, bean sprouts, and even minari (Korean water celery)🩷 I love bean sprouts and minari, so I was very happy🤭💕 There were also lettuce, chili peppers, scallions, salad, and all kinds of sauces—such a good spread of side dishes!🌸

Ordering ogyeopsal and gabrisal

We ordered Jirisan black pork ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly, ₩18,000) and gabrisal (pork neck, ₩19,000)🩷

Just look at how thick the meat is..😍💕 The thickness and quality were on another level, and at Cham Dwaejitgan the staff grill it themselves from beginning to end, so you get meat cooked by expert hands!

And Cham Dwaejitgan’s signature!!🩷 It is the gamja ssam (potato wrap)💕 Put meat and assorted sauces into a thinly sliced potato wrap, and it is unbelievably delicious😍

The meat sizzling away so deliciously...💕💕 All we had to do was sit back and eat, which was just the best ><

They grilled it so carefully that the meat stayed full of juices—I was honestly impressed the whole time🤭🩷

Stew and egg rice while we waited for the meat

The kimchi stew (₩7,000) was delicious too💕 The broth was rich rather than watery, and it was packed with meat!! Even the kimchi in it was delicious☺️💖

My boyfriend and I both immediately got hooked on the idea of margarine soy sauce egg rice (₩3,900) as soon as we saw it, so we ordered it right away😍💕 Familiar flavors can be dangerous...🙈 It was really delicious!

What a generous spread💖 We happily tucked into the stew and rice while waiting for the meat hahaha

They even cut every piece of meat for us, which was the best...💕 The end pieces of the ogyeopsal were so wonderfully chewy too! Since the cuts were thick, the texture was fantastic😍 My boyfriend and I do not usually like thin meat...🤭 haha

Every piece of meat was so substantial!!💖 Slight exaggeration perhaps, but just a few pieces made us feel full💕 They were that thick, with such a great texture..🫶

They grilled the potato wraps for us too, and they were so good that I kept reaching for them! I barely made any lettuce wraps, actually hahaha🤭

The bean sprouts and kimchi grilled up deliciously too💖 The gabrisal was wonderfully chewy and tasty as well💕

I just love Korean BBQ places that give you bean sprouts...🩷🫶 We filled up on this whole feast and made it safely back to Seoul! If you are looking for a delicious Korean BBQ restaurant in Cheonan, I really want to recommend Cham Dwaejitgan💖
