Cheonan café for five baked treats and coffee: Brewers Coffee

In short

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a café for baked treats and coffee in Cheonan, Chungnam. I tried five treats, including a salty caramel financier and cream brûlée madeleine, with a hot Americano and packed up the rest. A lovely first stop for a Cheonan bakery tour.

On my recent two-day, one-night trip to Cheonan, I visited Brewers Coffee, a café known for its baked treats. Just as I had heard, there were so many kinds that both my eyes and taste buds were happy! I tried several myself and put together this detailed review with my recommendations.

What is the atmosphere like inside the café with big windows?

One wall was filled with large windows, which gave the café such a lovely atmosphere. The weather was nice on the day I visited, so the natural light was absolutely wonderful.

The interior was stylish, too. It felt a little like being in a café in a small European town...? I was visiting alone, so I took the two-person table in the corner, but isn't the seat in the photo on the right pretty too? The restroom was inside the café, and it was clean and smelled nice haha.

Which baked treats did I choose?

Brewers Coffee really did have as many kinds of baked treats as I had heard. There were so many reviews saying the salty caramel one was delicious, so I knew I had to try it.

I wanted to choose the rest according to my taste, but everything looked so good that it was hard to decideㅠㅠ After much deliberation, I chose five baked treats: pistachio canelé, vanilla canelé, lemon madeleine, cream brûlée madeleine, and salty caramel financier! For my drink, I had a hot Americano.

First, the Americano was made with nutty beans that paired nicely with the sweet desserts.

Baked treats that make you happy just by looking at them! The green canelé is the pistachio canelé, and the one beside it is vanilla canelé.

Can you see the little sprinkles of salt on the surface of the salty caramel financier? That was the keyㅠ As I ate it, little hits of saltiness came through, and that was so appealing.

The rich cream in the cream brûlée madeleine

The one on the right is the cream brûlée madeleine. I really love madeleines too, and Brewers Coffee's were all so plump and glossy that I simply couldn't not choose one.

Plump, glossy cream brûlée madeleine

The cream brûlée madeleine tasted even better than it looked! It had cream inside with, maybe, a vanilla scent? It was so soft and flavorful that I really enjoyed it. When I split it in half, there was thick cream inside. The little specks in it were probably vanilla...?

Anyway, I needed to eat a proper meal, so I had only about two at the café and asked to pack up the rest. After dinner, I tried the pistachio canelé too. It had such a unique flavor unlike anything I had eaten elsewhere, and it was seriously delicious. The inside was moist and it was a really well-baked canelé; the chocolate coating and pistachios on the outside went so well together and tasted wonderfully nutty.

One more look at that gorgeous colorㅠ I want to eat those plump madeleines again.

If you visit Brewers Coffee in Cheonan, I absolutely recommend trying Brewers Coffee's signature salty caramel financier and cream brûlée madeleine. And if you like Dubai chocolate, the pistachio canelé is delicious too, so have it with a hot Americano haha.

Cheonan quietly has a lot of great bakeries, so if you come for a bakery tour, be sure to stop by Brewers Coffee too! It is right in front of the bus terminal, so I think it is a great place to leisurely have coffee and dessert before starting your trip. If I lived nearby, I would come often... I'm jealous of Cheonan locals!!
