Corkage-free Korean BBQ near Gangnam Station: Gogikkun Kimchunbae
In short
Gogikkun Kimchunbae Gangnam is a corkage-free Korean BBQ restaurant near Gangnam Station, on the 3rd and 4th floors at 13 Gangnam-daero 100-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The meal ran from grilled ogyeopsal (thick-cut pork belly) and pork neck to doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and kimchi mari guksu (cold kimchi noodle soup), with a yuzu highball whose bright citrus aroma kept the pork from feeling heavy. Gogikkun Kimchunbae Gangnam works just as well for a work dinner as for a Gangnam Station date.

Why Gogikkun Kimchunbae Gangnam suits both work dinners and dates
Gogikkun Kimchunbae Gangnam is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Gangnam Station, taking up the 3rd and 4th floors of a building on Gangnam-daero 100-gil. It's a great choice for a work dinner, but honestly I'd strongly recommend it as a Gangnam Station date course too.

Ogyeopsal and pork neck on the grill
What we picked at Gogikkun Kimchunbae Gangnam was ogyeopsal (pork belly) and pork neck.

Doenjang jjigae and kimchi mari guksu to finish
This combo is unmissable after grilled meat. We finished with hearty doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and refreshingly tangy kimchi mari guksu (cold kimchi noodle soup) — a perfect meal.

🍋 The yuzu highball
The bright yuzu aroma went perfectly with the meat. We could keep drinking it right to the end without feeling weighed down.
