Suwon beef restaurant with hangover ramyeon refills: Sogogi Twist

Last weekend I visited 'Sogogi Twist' near Yeongtong District Office and ate really delicious, really filling beef — here's my review!

The visuals are great, right?? Haha but you might be surprised by the price... beef that's actually cheaper than pork belly haha. And the taste was excellent too! So it was totally packed haha. Okay, let's start the review~

Where is Sogogi Twist in Suwon? Location, parking and hours

Sogogi Twist Yeongtong District Office Branch is located at 1F 103, 104-ho, 393 Hyowon-ro, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's open daily from 15:00 to 24:00.

• Parking: use the building parking lot (free for 2 hours); if full, the Yeongtong District Office parking lot is recommended, about a 3-minute walk away
• Hours: daily 15:00–24:00
• Corkage available (1 bottle per party / excluding alcohol sold in-store)

Underground parking: 2 hours free

You can use the building's underground parking lot — it was spacious and clean!

Once you come up to the 1st floor, 'Sogogi Twist' is very visible~ (it's right next to Sinjeon Tteokbokki)

Beef cheaper than pork belly at Sogogi Twist

That's right, Sogogi Twist sells beef that's cheaper than pork belly haha. But that doesn't mean they sell just any beef — the most important thing at a BBQ place is that the meat tastes good, right?! They said the US beef is only prime grade, in the top 3%, and the Australian beef is only wagyu!

Saturday 5:30pm: full house within minutes

Maybe because it's a newly opened place, it was clean and pleasant ✨ But not long after we sat down, it filled up completely. We visited around 5:30 on a Saturday, so if you're going on a weekend, I think it's safer to make a reservation beforehand!

side dishes are also ready! The basic side dishes are served, but for extras you can use the self-service bar~

What we ordered at Sogogi Twist and what it cost

• Mixed beef platter (1kg, ₩88,000)
• Hangover ramyeon (₩6,000)
• Drink (₩2,000)

The side dishes came out first~

The tissue roll has that old-school vibe haha, hanging from the ceiling — just so you know!

The side dishes included jangajji (pickled vegetables), seasoned perilla leaves, kkakdugi, and more

This kkakdugi was so cold and refreshing, absolutely amazing!! I think we refilled just the kkakdugi three times lol. So delicious 👍

Doesn't it already look delicious just from the color and visuals? Haha

They also give you shredded green onion, ssamjang (dipping sauce), garlic, and salt~

I thought it was just plain pickled onions...

But it was pickled onions mixed with wasabi, and I loved this so much! It goes so well with beef that my hand kept reaching for it! The side dishes alone were already delicious 🤣

No matter how much we grilled, the 1kg never seemed to shrink lol

Can you see how gorgeous the visuals are??

The first bite was the salt + wasabi combo!! It just melted in my mouth... if you didn't tell me the price, I'd never guess it was this affordable for this quality 🫢

It also paired so well with the wasabi-flavored pickled onions that I couldn't stop eating 😋

The owner checked ahead if we were running low on onions and asked what we needed before we even said anything — thank you! It was so busy with customers, but the owner was clearly kind and thoughtful haha.

Hangover ramyeon (6,000 won)

Can't skip the 'hangover ramyeon' on the side menu. Eating ramyeon really clears your stomach — truly soul food ⭐️

Drink (2,000 won)

With the soda too, the two of us ended up finishing all 1kg of beef lol. It seems like a great spot for gatherings where you can enjoy good beef without worrying about the price~ And even just the two of us came away completely satisfied. If you're craving beef, there's no reason not to go — highly recommend 'Sogogi Twist'!!
