In short

I'm Toggi. Looking for dinner with friends near Uijeongbu Station, we found 'Cheonpo Hoegwan.' Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu is a pork belly specialist where the thick pork belly is just the baseline — you also get yukhoe (raw beef tartare) and minari (water dropwort) alongside it, and we absolutely devoured it. If you live in Uijeongbu, this is a must-visit.

Unlimited minari, though — is that even allowed?? At other BBQ places I've been to, they charge an extra ₩5,000 for it. This place is seriously generous!
Right by Uijeongbu Station, so the location is great too — I'd highly recommend it as a spot for a work dinner or group gathering in Uijeongbu! Here's my honest review, parking tips included~~!

Full house even at opening time — the vibe inside
We got there around opening time and it was already packed! Definitely lives up to being a local favorite in Uijeongbu. Wide tables and cushy chairs — perfect for a work dinner in Uijeongbu. Also great for eating out with kids or a family gathering.

They give you minari-kimchi pancake batter that you grill yourself right there, and it's an absolute delicacy...!!! Super easy to make and genuinely delicious.
The menu and what we ordered

Pork belly and beef rolls were the signature dishes. A friend who's tried it said the bulgogi and sundae gopchang (sausage and grilled intestines) are also good. You can tell from a bite that everything's fresh and high quality~ We came craving pork belly, so we ordered three servings of pork belly, then added one more.
If you save the Naver receipt review and write a post, you get a free 100ml of Hwarang (rice wine) — definitely take part. Turn on Naver notifications and you also get free ohsaek bibim guksu (five-color mixed noodles)!
Basic side dishes plus yukhoe and minari

First came the side dishes, domestic kimchi, and fresh minari! All great pairings for pork belly. The domestic Haenam cabbage kimchi is especially amazing, insane...!!! Lettuce and perilla leaves are pricey these days so most places skimp, but here they give you plenty. Love it.

Yukhoe (raw beef tartare) being a complimentary dish... complimentary...!! The ureong (mud snail) wrap thing goes perfectly with the meat, and it's great even just eaten in a lettuce wrap with rice!
How's the thick pork belly?

Our pork belly order arrived!! You can tell at a glance the meat quality is good, right? Being nice and thick made it even better.

Dipping it in this particular sauce made it even tastier.

At Cheonpo Hoegwan near Uijeongbu Station, the meat just melts in your mouth with the juices bursting out. So tender, with juiciness all the way through — genuinely amazing...!!

Eating it together with the minari-kimchi pancake we made earlier is out-of-this-world delicious. So so good~\(≧▽≦)/~

We made hearty lettuce wraps, and the fresh minari with the domestic Haenam kimchi is genuinely unforgettable!!!

A glass of somaek (soju-beer mix) would've been perfect with this, but everyone drove so we couldn't drink ㅠㅠㅠ Next time we're doing somaek with the meal!!!

We added one more serving of pork belly, and they even reset the kimchi for us..!! The three of us ended up eating a total of four servings hahahaha.
Finishing up with 3,000-won fried rice

If you visit Cheonpo Hoegwan in Uijeongbu, you have to try the fried rice too. It's ₩3,000 — is that even right...? It's insanely good, an absolute steal..!!!! If you're looking for a good restaurant, a BBQ spot, or a work-dinner spot in Uijeongbu, just go to Cheonpo Hoegwan near Uijeongbu Station. I'd revisit 10000% of the time. Truly, wholeheartedly recommend it!!!!
