Korean restaurant in Uijeongbu's Gosan-dong: aromsatae mandu jeongol
In short
Daedae Myeonok is a Korean restaurant in Gosan-dong, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi, known for naengmyeon (cold noodles) but visited here for its aromsatae mandu jeongol (beef shank and dumpling hot pot). The writer ordered the two-person set with boiled beef, vegetables, fish cake skewers, kimchi and meat dumplings, and finished with kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) in the leftover broth. With a wide private parking lot and tableside order pads, it's a solid pick for group meals.

Chilled, savory broth loaded with vegetables, handmade dumplings, and tender aromsatae (beef shank) — I went to Daedae Myeonok, a Korean restaurant in Gosan-dong, Uijeongbu, for their aromsatae mandu jeongol (beef shank and dumpling hot pot)!
Parking and location at Daedae Myeonok in Gosan-dong, Uijeongbu
Daedae Myeonok, a Gosan-dong naengmyeon (cold noodle) restaurant, has a wide private parking lot right out front, making it easy to visit by car! It was drizzling that day, which maybe made the aromsatae mandu jeongol taste even better haha.

Atmosphere and seating
Daedae Myeonok, a Korean restaurant in Uijeongbu — walking in, the space is spacious with plenty of tables, making it a great spot for group visits or dinner gatherings!

Seating extends generously toward the back too~ the interior felt clean and tidy, which I liked even more.
Plenty of baby chairs are on hand too~

Self-serve side dish corner and tableside order pads
There's a separate self-serve corner — you get the basic side dishes first, and can help yourself to refills whenever you need~

Every table has an order pad that handles payment too, so ordering was really convenient~

Ordering the aromsatae mandu jeongol two-person set
They're famous for naengmyeon, but with the weather turning chilly, aromsatae mandu jeongol is the perfect cold-weather dish~ that's exactly what we came for haha. The two-person set that comes with aromsatae mandu jeongol plus kalguksu noodles was just right for us~

Appetizing geotjeori kimchi and cool dongchimi (radish water kimchi)~ plus a seasoned soy sauce topped with cabbage, onion, and chili — that was the real kicker! It went so well with the aromsatae mandu jeongol~
Wow!! Here comes the generous, appetizing Daedae Myeonok aromsatae mandu jeongol~~

Loaded with all kinds of vegetables and boiled aromsatae, plus fish cake skewers and dumplings on top~~ 2 kimchi dumplings and 2 meat dumplings were perfect for sharing~~!
A tip for the order to eat the dumplings
Since the dumpling wrappers are thin and tear easily, they told us to fish the dumplings out first, simmer the broth and eat the meat and vegetables for a while, then put the dumplings back in to cook — a handy tip haha.

Bubbling away, cooking up the mandu jeongol deliciously~ each table has its own induction burner, so cooking it fresh right there made it taste even better~~

The taste of the aromsatae boiled beef and vegetables
Pick up the well-cooked vegetables and aromsatae beef, dip generously in the sauce, and take a bite~ oh. The meat was savory and tender, and combined with the crisp vegetables and the sauce, it was incredibly delicious~~

It was clean-tasting yet you keep reaching for more — such a great combination~

Then put the dumplings back in and let them simmer bubbling in the broth again~~
Meanwhile, enjoy the savory fish cake skewers one by one~ they come as whole skewers, so it feels really generous~!

Handmade kimchi dumplings and meat dumplings
The wrappers are thin and the filling is packed full, so you can really taste the filling — the kimchi dumplings were so good!! The umami was incredible haha. Of course the meat dumplings were good too! Eating these after always having store-bought dumplings made it taste even better haha.

Finishing with kalguksu noodles
To finish, kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) too~~ like shabu-shabu, eating the boiled beef and vegetables first, then enjoying kalguksu in the broth as a set — so satisfying and generous~!

They add more broth, put in the kalguksu, and cook it up deliciously~~
Slurp up the well-cooked kalguksu~ the broth flavor soaks in deeply and it's so good~ the broth gets richer and richer the more you eat, and it feels like it warms you right up~~ on a rainy day, eating hot broth along with meat, vegetables, and kalguksu was truly filling haha. As the weather keeps getting chillier, mandu jeongol is perfect for days you're craving warm broth food~! If I come back again, next time I want to try Daedae Myeonok's naengmyeon too~!

Generous and delicious aromsatae mandu jeongol — I recommend Daedae Myeonok, a Gosan-dong naengmyeon and Uijeongbu Millak-dong favorite~~!
