Today I visited a place that was genuinely delicious — "Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch"! Great quality and a huge portion too... let me introduce it.
Parking and interior at Manjok Ohyang Jokbal in Jamsil Saenae
Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch sits on Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil, close to Jamsil Saenae Station. Parking right in front is limited to just one spot, first-come first-served, but there's a public parking lot nearby too, so I didn't worry too much about it 😊
Inside was just as big as it looked from outside, with plenty of tables — perfect for groups or a work dinner 🙌🏻
What we ordered: jokbal (medium) and jaengban cold noodles
There were tons of menu options, but today I went with jokbal (medium) + jaengban guksu (noodles on a tray) 🥢
Free side dishes, including tteok-manduguk soup
Right after ordering, the side dishes arrived! Baek-kimchi, cabbage, pickled radish, dried radish strips
And tteok-manduguk (rice cake and dumpling soup) too..!! Can you believe this is just a basic side dish, that's honestly amazing
They even gave us lettuce wraps and egg and pepper to add to the tteok-manduguk
While I was busily simmering it and eating, the main jokbal arrived

I usually avoid the skin part of jokbal because it feels greasy, but this time I was genuinely shocked..
The umami was incredible but it wasn't greasy at all, so I just kept eating..
I've had jokbal at so many places, and this one is a real gem
No gaminess, soft, and not too salty, so it went well with anything — that was the key point 📌
There was even a part that was pure lean meat, and I thought it would be amazing mixed into a rice ball..🤭
Is the jaengban guksu too spicy for mild eaters?
The jaengban guksu at Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch wasn't very spicy, so even I, a spice wimp, enjoyed it down to the last bite. Can jokbal ever be complete without makguksu (buckwheat noodles)? With all the vegetables, it felt like an even bigger portion..!!
