Suji-gu Office Station sundaeguk for solo dining and soju: Yeonnal
In short
Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suji-gu Office Station Branch is a sundaeguk (pork and blood sausage soup) restaurant in Suji-gu, Yongin, opened by the well-known sundaeguk shop at Yongin Jungang Market. Soju is 3,000 won, and the table tablet lets you remove or add cuts, so the writer ordered one sundaeguk with the innards left out and one basic spicy sundaeguk — the milky broth and the fiery one each held their own. Yeonnal Gyeongseong is an easy place to eat alone and have a glass with your soup without anyone watching.

I visited Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suji-gu Office Station Branch, a perfect spot near Suji-gu Office Station for a hearty solo meal or a quiet drink on the side. From a customizable ordering system where you can pick your ingredients, to a genuinely touching drinks promotion, this place delivered all around.

Yongin Jungang Market sundaeguk arrives at Suji-gu Office Station
Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk was already a famous sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) restaurant at Yongin Jungang Market in Cheoin-gu, and now there's a branch in Suji too! It keeps the same flavor and generous portions as the original market shop, but adds a kiosk/tablet ordering system and a clean self-bar, making for an even more comfortable dining environment.

Soju 3,000 won, student sundaeguk 9,000 won
They sell soju for just ₩3,000, making it much easier to enjoy a meal without worrying about the bill. It's perfect for pairing a glass of soju with your soup without any pressure. There was also a student sundaeguk for middle and high schoolers priced at ₩9,000.

What to share with drinks, plus the kids' menu
Since soju is only ₩3,000, I checked out the side dish menu too, and there were plenty of options besides the soup that pair perfectly with a drink. Sundae-gopchang jeongol (sausage and tripe hot pot, ₩32,000), head meat suyuk small (₩19,000), and cold suyuk set meal (₩13,000) were all great matches for a glass of soju. There was also a kids' gukbap for ₩5,000 and a Tinyping character drink for ₩2,000. You can bring young kids along without any worries and have an enjoyable meal as a family.

Ordering sundaeguk without the innards
Ordering is easy through the tablet installed at every table. You can also add or remove ingredients to your taste. We ordered a clean bowl with the innards left out, and the basic spicy sundaeguk, which has an appealingly sharp kick. They were also running a nice event where writing a Naver receipt review gets you a free chapssal sundae (glutinous rice blood sausage)!

The sundaeguk finally arrived, bubbling away in a stone pot. The dishes came out quickly — we didn't have to wait long after ordering, which was really satisfying even during a busy meal time, and the hot stone pot kept the broth warm until the very last spoonful.

How does the innards-free sundaeguk taste?
The sundaeguk with the innards left out had a milky, deep broth topped with chives and perilla seed powder, which made it very fragrant. It was packed with meat, so it kept you full until the last bite. It wasn't harsh or greasy, just clean and deeply rich — the more you drink it, the warmer and more comfortable your stomach feels. Add a piece of well-fermented kkakdugi (radish kimchi) on top, and the spicy-sweet-and-sour balance makes for a perfect bite all the way to the end, haha.

Basic spicy sundaeguk: hangover cure or drinking food?
And the (basic) spicy gukbap — wow, the look of it was insane. The sharp, spicy broth clears out your system and is perfect either as a hangover cure or a drinking snack. One spoonful of the broth is clean and deep with rich bone broth flavor, not the least bit murky, and then a sharp, spicy kick hits and really opens everything up. At the same time, it's the kind of flavor that makes you instantly crave a shot of soju.

Seasonings on the table and the self-serve bar
Every table has perilla seed powder, pepper, and chili paste condiments neatly set out, so you can adjust the spice level to your taste. The well-fermented kkakdugi and spicy-sweet napa cabbage kimchi bring out even more flavor in the soup. There's also a self-bar in the restaurant where you can freely grab side dishes like seasoned salted shrimp, ssamjang, kimchi, kkakdugi, and onions — hygienic and satisfying.

Takeout deal: 15,000 won for about three servings
For customers who've eaten in the restaurant, there's a great-value takeout discount — you can take home a generous portion, about enough for three people, for ₩15,000. Isn't that a great price to pack up leftovers for the family or a meal for the next day, haha?

With the stone pot piled full of hearty ingredients, it's a filling meal just to look at. I'd recommend this place to anyone missing the flavor of Yongin Jungang Market, or anyone near Suji looking for a genuinely rich sundaeguk. The atmosphere is comfortable enough that you can eat without feeling watched, so I highly recommend it for solo diners!
