Gaepo-dong feels like a quiet neighborhood to me, and this café fits that vibe perfectly — the kind of place where you wouldn't feel awkward going alone!!

Three coffee blends and the signature Helsinki latte
Minimale Gaepo has tons of coffee menu items! And a lot of non-coffee options too haha. There are 3 bean types — Balance, Dunkel, and Decaf! I ordered the signature Helsinki latte with Dunkel (a nutty bean)!! Next time I want to try the Belgian dark chocolate haha.
Minimale also has gift cards you can use in-store! While I was sitting there, quite a few people came in to buy them!
Babka, plus financier and cookie gift sets to take home
First time seeing babka! It felt like Minimale's signature bread haha. Made with a brioche dough!

I agonized over which bread to get! By around 4pm a lot of the bread was already sold out ㅜ But the egg mayo salt bread sandwich I really wanted to try was — just one left! Total lucky-vicky lucky day~🍀

Minimale Gaepo has 4 two-seat tables and 1 four-seat table. Most seats face the window, so the sunlight pouring in was really nice!
Minimale also sells coffee beans and merch~~ Personally I liked the drip bag gift option more than other gifts! They sell drip bags too, so that's a plus~~

How does the Helsinki latte taste, and why the to-go line keeps moving
This is the Helsinki latte I ordered! Tasting it, it seems to have Minimale's own signature latte base. I've always loved a heavier, richer latte, and after trying it... I 100%, 200% understood why people come for coffee to go!! In the 30 minutes I sat there, it was practically a nonstop stream of takeout orders — basically a takeout specialty shop!!
Egg mayo sandwich on truly crisp salt bread
The egg mayo sandwich... turns out this place is a salt bread specialist? The egg mayo isn't skimpy either — when I cut it with a knife, it spilled out the sides.
Crispy outside, soft inside — the definition of it. Wondering why I photographed the bottom? I wanted to show you how insanely crispy it was!! The kind of bottom you could tap with your nail like ASMR! I took a photo thinking 'that looks crispy,' took a bite thinking 'this is insane,' and photographed it again... I love a salt bread bottom that's properly crisp, and this one nailed it! And on top of that, egg mayo meets melted cheese...
Sweet and spicy: Minimale's bacon jalapeño financier
While looking for something that could double as a meal, I tried the bacon jalapeño financier! Pure sweet-and-spicy! It's sweet, but the jalapeño's kick cuts right through the financier's buttery richness — genuinely delicious!
