Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan near Sinjung-dong Station
I’m leaving a review of my visit to Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan in Sinjung-dong, haha.

The restaurant is only 223m from Exit 3 of Sinjung-dong Station, so it’s really close to the station~ It’s near the dining alley, so access was excellent too~~ It was convenient to visit by public transportation, which I loved, haha. Personally, there aren’t many places to park in Sinjung-dong, so public transportation is easier!! Sigh.

The restaurant is on the second floor, and you can use either the stairs or elevator, haha.

What comes in the Bangatgan A Set
You order at the kiosk. Looking over the menu, I saw a satisfying selection of different cuts of meat and side dishes~ I debated what to have, then ordered the restaurant’s signature Bangatgan A Set!
I ordered the Bangatgan A Set (1kg+50g) for ₩59,000—pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, and smoked makchang (grilled pork intestines)—plus Zero Coke and a bowl of rice, haha. By the way, is the price of Ilpum Jinro for real?.. ₩11,000?! 😮😮😮

Restaurant atmosphere and self-service drinks
The interior was very comfortable and clean~ There was little of the greasy residue or smell typical of Korean BBQ restaurants, so I felt good as soon as I walked in, haha. The tables were generously spaced too, making it a comfortable setting for chatting over a meal, haha. It has a more upscale feel than a typical Korean BBQ restaurant, right~?? Haha.

More than anything, I was so surprised that alcoholic drinks are ₩1,500 here!! Imported beer is only ₩2,500 too... Even the soft drinks were inexpensive, which really surprised me~ Wouldn’t this be perfect for coming with a group to drink?.. The prices are so kind that I thought it would be perfect for a group gathering or company dinner~👍👍 The drinks are self-service, by the way, and there were baskets prepared beside the tables :) Hahahahaha.

There was a wide variety of items, including lettuce, shredded scallions, sesame oil, garlic, peppers, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), and kimchi, and the self-service bar was kept incredibly clean too! Haha.

Tasting everything from pork belly to smoked makchang
Right after ordering, they set out neat basic side dishes~ Along with scallion salad and ssam vegetables that pair perfectly with the meat, there was a satisfying assortment of sauces and seasonings to bring out its flavor‼️ The side dishes were nicely presented and good, haha.

My heart was racing—the meat we ordered arrived!! Hehe. It came with pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, and smoked makchang so we could try a variety, plus mushrooms and minari (water celery) too~~👍👍👍 It was honestly a lot of food for two people!! I ordered the Bangatgan A Set because I was sooo hungry and wanted to try a variety of things, but it definitely was a lot for two. I recommend it for two adult men with big appetites, or three women 🐷🐷🐷

As you’d expect from a popular Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinjung-dong Station, the heat was strong, so the meat cooked crisp on the outside and moist inside, full of juices~~ There wasn’t a trace of off smell—only a nutty, savory aroma—so the wait felt incredibly long.... Sigh. Making a big ssam (lettuce wrap) with a thick piece of meat, scallion salad, and garlic on fresh lettuce was also a treat~ The texture of the fresh vegetables and juicy meat came together beautifully, and every wrap was seriously delicious 😁😁😁
I finished the meal full and satisfied right through the final piece~ From the overall quality of the meat to the clean restaurant environment, it was a meal I enjoyed in every way, haha.
