Songdo Central Park jazz bar, second set at 9pm: Jazz 257

I went back to Jazz 257 Songdo Central Park Branch, a view-lover's dream where you can listen to live jazz while looking out at Songdo Central Park at night, haha. The vibe is so good that I'd recommend it for a date or a special occasion!

Artforay is right by Exit 2 of Central Park! Just follow the path to Building D, take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, and Jazz 257 is right there.

Interior & night view

Coming back to Jazz 257 felt even better this time ♥ The moment you walk in, the upscale, moody interior already makes you happy. The lighting is soft and atmospheric all around — dim enough to look flattering if you're on a blind date ^^ Take that as a blind-date tip

But more than anything, the night view of Songdo Central Park through the floor-to-ceiling windows is so good that just sitting by the window and staring at the view feels healing.

But my sister and I enjoy the performance even more than the view. So we took a seat facing the stage.

Two glasses of wine and the Jazz Stone Steak

We planned on two glasses of wine and steak while watching the show. We ordered a glass of wine and they filled it almost halfway up, lol. Such a generous Songdo Central Park spot, Jazz 257... thank you ^~^

Jazz 257's signature dish! The Jazz Stone Steak. I had it last time too and it was delicious then as well. I thought the fire show would just be for the eyes, but it turned out to be a steak place that tastes as good as it looks — Jazz 257.

It might be hard to see in the dim lighting, but the steak comes out nearly rare. If you look at the cross-section, it's barely cooked! But since the stone plate is very hot, you just keep cooking it on the plate to whatever doneness you like while you eat.

Thanks to the hot stone plate, I could enjoy warm steak the whole time I watched the jazz show. The meat was in great condition and delicious, and the garnish — onion, zucchini, cherry tomato, mushroom, bell pepper — was all solid too!! Vegetables really do taste better grilled, haha.

Why I timed my visit for the 9pm second set

The show runs daily from 8pm to 10pm, split into two one-hour sets. Personally, I think the real emotional high point of the show comes in the second set, so this time I made sure to arrive right at 9pm when the second set starts! I got to see a band with a whole different charm from the one I saw last time. They looked younger than me, but seeing them play together so happily in front of a crowd made me feel good and honestly a little envious ㅠㅠ

Drinking wine while listening to great songs made that moment feel so happy. I didn't expect a return visit to be even better than the first! I channeled my inner Nam Joo-hyuk and did my own little check of the lighting, temperature, and humidity... haha
