Finding the restaurant near Paju Lotte Outlets

There's a private parking lot right in front of the restaurant, which made driving there so convenient! It's near Paju Book City and Simhaksan, so it's great to visit after work on weekdays or after an outing on weekends.

Partitioned tables for 2-4 and baby chairs: why Dolpanseok works for family meals
Since it's a newly opened restaurant, the inside of Dolpanseok Jjamppong Paju Simhaksan Branch was extremely clean and tidy, which I loved! The 2-4 person seats are divided by partitions, and the central hall has connected open 4-person tables.

The 2-4 person seats being divided by partitions especially made for a cozy, private dining experience. I felt it would work well for family meals, dates, or work dinners!

The central hall has connected open 4-person tables, so it also seemed great for group gatherings!

They even have baby chairs, and all sorts of services made this feel great for family dining!
Self-serve corner and unlimited rice refills at Dolpanseok
The self-serve corner at Dolpanseok Jjamppong has the Chinese-restaurant essentials — onion, danmuji (pickled radish), chunjang (black bean paste) — plus green onion kimchi. Rice is also unlimited refill.

Dolpanseok Jjamppong has all sorts of nice touches, and the self-serve corner was well put together too — onion, danmuji, chunjang, and even green onion kimchi, perfect to enjoy alongside the dishes!

Rice being unlimited refill on top of everything made it feel even more worth the price!
How table ordering works and what we ordered
Ordering is done through a table order system, and we ordered the stone-plate jjamppong (medium spice) + dontchitang set for ₩42,000, plus two glasses of Zero Coke at ₩2,000 each. The food isn't pre-made and brought out — it's cooked the moment you order, so you get to eat it even hotter.

You can order easily through the table order system, and there are instructions posted around the restaurant on how to enjoy the dishes best, which made the meal even more enjoyable.

And instead of pre-made food coming out, they cook it fresh the moment you order, so you get to eat warmer, tastier food!
- Stone-plate jjamppong (medium spice) + dontchitang set 42.0
- Zero Coke 2.0 x2
Medium-spice stone-plate jjamppong with scorched rice and bean sprouts
The jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) came out on a hot stone plate, so it stayed warm the whole time I was eating. You have to be careful and mix the scorched rice at the bottom of the stone plate well into the jjamppong with the bean sprouts!
The jjamppong that came out looked freshly made and so delicious, and being served on a hot stone plate made it enjoyable the whole way through. Can you see it bubbling away in the back?🤤🤤 Freshly made with steam rising, it made my mouth water.

If you carefully mix in the scorched rice, this is what it looks like! With the heat from the jjamppong and the stone plate, the bean sprouts didn't wilt and kept a nice crunch — I loved that.

And most of all, the noodles and broth are seriously amazing!! There's such a fresh flavor to the dish. It was almost startlingly delicious — I kept thinking 'why is this so good??' while inhaling it.
The spice level is also adjustable, and the medium spice was just the right amount of pleasantly spicy — very satisfying!

Dontchitang set: pork cutlet and fried chicken in one dish
The dontchitang (pork cutlet and fried chicken combo) came out freshly fried, combining donkkasu (pork cutlet) and chicken. Getting to enjoy two flavors at once seems like something kids would really love!

Being able to enjoy two flavors at once made it great to share with everyone.

I especially loved dipping the pork cutlet in the jjamppong broth — so good!
Scraping the scorched rice off the hot stone plate
By the time I'd almost finished the noodles, using the provided spatula to scrape up the scorched rice at the bottom felt like the perfect way to wrap up the meal. Koreans and our love of rice, haha.

The jjamppong broth is so delicious that it paired really well with rice too! The portions are generous already, but if you still want more, it seems perfect for mixing in the free rice refill.

Dolpanseok Jjamppong was perfect right down to the last bite!! They even have dessert coffee, yogurt, and rice crackers, which were great for cleansing the palate.

And from the café discount to the microwave for baby food, I could feel the owner's thoughtful consideration everywhere in the restaurant. I was fully satisfied with everything from the taste to the service!! I highly, highly recommend it for family meals, dates, or group gatherings in Paju. I definitely want to come back!!
