Sharosu-gil café with peppermint milk tea for mom dates: Pulse Line

In short

Pulse Line Coffee is a café in the Sharosu-gil alley in Gwanak, Seoul, a 6-minute walk from Exit 2 of Seoul National University Station. On a mother-daughter date, the writer ordered the Pulse Personal Latte tinted pink with red beet, the peppermint-based Pulse Milk Tea and a brûlée pie. Between the unusual drinks and the calm black-and-red interior, Pulse Line Coffee suits both a day out with mom and solo laptop work.

Black-and-red interior: is Pulse Line Coffee good for laptop work?

Inside, Pulse Line Coffee blends a chic black tone with striking red accents in a really sensible way! Once we stepped in, the atmosphere was seriously amazing. The lighting wasn't too dark, just soft enough to feel really cozy. You could really tell they put a lot of thought into the interior! The space itself is calm, so I thought if you came alone to work on your laptop or study, you'd focus like crazy!

How does the pink Pulse Personal Latte taste?

Pulse Line Coffee's Pulse Personal Latte is a signature drink made with herb milk plus red beet, giving it a delicate pink color. This was the signature I was most curious about! The milk color is amazingly pink, so it stole the spotlight the moment it arrived. Taking a sip, the nutty, smooth latte carried a subtle herb aroma that made for a really appealing flavor.

Peppermint-based Pulse Milk Tea

The Pulse Milk Tea is made with a peppermint base, so it's on a completely different level from the milk teas I usually drink. Instead of the usual milky heaviness, the mint's refreshing, cool taste lingers cleanly in your mouth. If you like mint, you'll definitely fall for this one!

Brûlée pie: texture and what it pairs with

The brûlée pie paired perfectly with the drinks! The surface was golden and sweetly caramelized, looking totally delicious. Rather than the crispy texture I expected, there was sugar layered under the pie base that gave a fun crunchy bite — a real treat! Inside was packed with a smooth, rich vanilla cream cheese filling, making the sweetness feel really well balanced. A perfect match with the smooth drinks!

My mom was really satisfied too, saying the drinks at Pulse Line Coffee were unique and the calm atmosphere was lovely. A successful, happy date! With its hip black-and-red vibe, its calm mood that's great for working, and the pink Pulse Personal Latte plus peppermint Pulse Milk Tea, I'd recommend it as a unique Sharosu-gil café.
