Office-share oranda set tasted with toddlers at Jeju Dongmun Market
In short
Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong is a souvenir shop at the entrance of Dongmun Market in Jeju that makes oranda (crisp puffed-rice snack bars) on site. On the last day of a Jeju trip, the writer stopped in with a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old, tried samples, and bought a gift set with four flavors — yuzu, gamtae (dried seaweed), nut and plain — for 23,000 won. Each piece is individually wrapped and easy to hand out at work, and the soft, not-too-sweet texture made Cheongchuni Oranda a good alternative to omegi-tteok for a Jeju souvenir.

On the last day of our Jeju trip, we stopped by Dongmun Market, close to Jeju Airport, to look around and pick up some souvenirs for friends.
While wondering if there was something different from omegi-tteok (rice cake) to bring back, I found Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong — perfect for a Jeju Dongmun Market souvenir or Jeju trip gift. Let's go check it out!

What the oranda tasted like to a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old
At Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong, they put out freshly made oranda for tasting on the spot. The kids tried some and said it was delicious, so I thought it'd be perfect as a Jeju trip gift!

There's the regular oranda, and also my favorite kind coated in grain syrup and puffed rice!

Neatly lined up in square rows: yuzu, nut, garlic, gamtae, and more flavors of oranda. Individual pieces can also be bought.

Cute donut-shaped oranda..! Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong even has a sense of fun.

What's inside the 23,000 won four-flavor oranda gift set
They had a clean-looking gift set. I decided on the oranda set with 4 flavors — yuzu, gamtae, nut, and plain. Total: ₩23,000.

Individually wrapped oranda shared around the office
The cute foursome of oranda, each individually wrapped, made it easy to share at the office.

Cheongchuni Oranda's oranda has quite a soft, chewy texture. Slightly crisp yet soft and moist, it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. My coworkers said it was really tasty since it wasn't hard at all.

From the familiar plain oranda to the nutty flavor, the peculiar charm of gamtae, and the refreshing zest of yuzu — Cheongchuni Oranda is fun to pick through and try. Best of all, it's not too sweet. It was a light, guilt-free snack with coffee whenever I wanted something after a meal.

Is Cheongchuni Oranda worth it as a Jeju souvenir?
Not heavy or bulky, individually wrapped for easy sharing, with a choice of plain, yuzu, gamtae, and nut flavors — Cheongchuni Oranda was a great Jeju Dongmun Market gift. If you're looking for a different kind of Jeju-flavored souvenir, this seems like a solid choice.
Next time, I'll buy a bigger stash of snacks for the parents and the kids too!
