Teppanyaki with no break time in Mullae Art Village, Seoul: Jojo
In short
Jojo Mullae Branch is a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant in Mullae Art Village (Mullae Changjak-chon), Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, where okonomiyaki, monjayaki, yakisoba and donpeyaki are grilled on a hot plate right in front of you. On a weekday afternoon visit, the signature set for two (Jojo okonomiyaki + Jojo yakisoba + donpeyaki) arrived without a wait because Jojo runs from open to close with no break time. A good pick in Mullae-dong for both a lunch date and an evening drink.

Today I'm introducing a hot spot in Mullae Changjak-chon where you can enjoy delicious teppan cooking. I visited on a relaxed weekday afternoon and had a great meal.
It's Jojo Mullae Branch, the restaurant that's currently super popular from Culinary Class Wars (the Korean 'black and white chefs' show).

Why Jojo Mullae Branch works at any hour: no break time
Jojo Mullae Branch, my pick for a Mullae lunch, is a newly popular restaurant that grills okonomiyaki and monjayaki right in front of you.

Jojo Mullae Branch specializes in okonomiyaki / monjayaki / yakisoba / donpeyaki.
The moment you walk in, the lively atmosphere and the faint smell of teppan grilling get your appetite going — a real Mullae Japanese restaurant.
What's especially great about Jojo Mullae Branch is that it runs with no break time from open to close.

Usually if you visit during the daytime, it's hard to find somewhere to eat because of an awkward break time — but at Jojo Mullae Branch, my recommendation for Mullae lunch spots, you can enjoy a good meal whenever you show up. Really satisfying.

I'd recommend it whether you're looking for a Mullae lunch spot or a Mullae bar for a nice evening drink.
What's in the signature set for two, and an honest review

I visited on a weekday afternoon and ordered the signature dish, the 2-person set (Jojo okonomiyaki + Jojo yakisoba + donpeyaki).

Watching each dish being carefully cooked right in front of me on the teppan was fun on its own.
Jojo okonomiyaki (savory grilled pancake)
The signature dish — a thick batter piled high with various ingredients, the house sauce, and plenty of bonito flakes.

Moist inside, crisp outside — a burst of savory umami filling your mouth.

Jojo yakisoba (grilled noodles)
Chewy noodles, crunchy cabbage, meat, and seafood come together with the house sweet-and-savory sauce — quite addictive.
Donpeyaki (egg-wrapped pork)

A Japanese-style rolled omelet packed with savory pork inside soft egg sheets — the tender texture rounds out the meal nicely.
Thanks to this generous, well-balanced 3-dish teppan set, I had a clean, satisfying meal with nothing to complain about.
What other sets does Jojo Mullae Branch serve?
Besides the signature set, there are various other set options depending on your taste. One especially popular choice is the monjayaki 2-person set — mentaiko monjayaki + karai yakisoba + waterfall potato.
The salty, savory mentaiko monjayaki, the spicy karai yakisoba, and the waterfall potato — which nails both looks and taste — sound really appealing, so I'm planning to try them on my next visit.
Being able to taste a variety of teppan dishes while soaking in the atmosphere of an authentic Mullae Japanese restaurant makes for a very satisfying experience.
Inside Jojo Mullae Branch: atmosphere and seating
True to its reputation as a Culinary Class Wars favorite, both the food quality and the cooking performance are excellent.

The showy teppan cooking performance unfolding right in front of you is impressive, and the clean, modern interior makes you feel well taken care of throughout the meal.

A standout Mullae Japanese restaurant known for its clean, deep flavors — the sentimental interior and attentive service make just visiting feel like a special experience.

The tidy space and comfortable seating layout also make it a great place to chat.
