Dangsan izakaya with black sesame mochi tofu: Snack Bar Atashi
In short
Snack Bar Atashi Dangsan Station Main Branch is a Japanese-style izakaya a 3–5 minute walk from Exit 12 of Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Visited as a second round after dinner, the order was handmade black sesame mochi tofu, kanimiso crab roe gratin served in the shell, and tartar chicken nanban with a beer-and-soju mix, and the crab roe spooned onto a cracker was the bite that kept the drinks coming. With counter seats and low lighting, Snack Bar Atashi suits nights when you want a quiet drink and a long conversation.

Today I'm introducing a great spot for a good-vibes drink in Dangsan: Snack Bar Atashi, an izakaya near Dangsan Station. The atmosphere felt like actually being in Japan, but honestly the food was the real star. This time I tried handmade black sesame mochi tofu, crab roe gratin in the shell, and tartar chicken nanban!

Snack Bar Atashi is close enough to Dangsan Station to reach easily on transit — really good accessibility. The weather was nice, and I bet having a drink on the terrace seats would feel amazing!!

It's such a popular spot in Dangsan that if you're visiting on a Friday or weekend evening, I'd recommend checking reservations or wait times beforehand!
Inside Snack Bar Atashi: counter seats and Japanese izakaya mood
Snack Bar Atashi Dangsan Station Main Branch is mostly counter (dachi) seating — and the vibe is seriously great, right?!!

The moment I walked in, I could feel the atmosphere — with cute Japanese knick-knacks and counter seats set up throughout,

it really felt like stepping into a small izakaya in Japan rather than a typical Korean bar.

The lighting is especially cozy too, so it's great for drinks with friends, but also a nice mood for a date.

Anyone looking for a Dangsan izakaya would probably fall for the vibe here right away.
Snack Bar Atashi menu and drinks for a light second round
I was already impressed just looking at the menu hahaha ㅠㅠ

The menu was full of dishes that looked amazing, but since I'd already had round one somewhere else, I went looking for something light for round two!!

They had so many kinds of alcohol too!! Some drinks brought back memories from Japan, but tonight I kept it simple with a beer-soju mix!!

Handmade black sesame mochi tofu: the starter to order first
The first dish I tried was the handmade black sesame mochi tofu! The soft yet chewy texture unique to mochi tofu, combined with the nutty flavor of black sesame, made it genuinely delicious for me.

It wasn't too heavy, so it worked well as a starter, and it was also great for taking a bite here and there between other dishes.

Kanimiso crab roe gratin in the shell, best spooned onto a cracker
Second was the crab roe gratin in the shell — a dish that's a drinking snack from the name alone! The rich, salty flavor of the crab roe (kanimiso) inside the shell was really good.

If you're looking for something simple but distinctive at Snack Bar Atashi, this is my top recommendation!!!

Loading the crackers that come with it up with plenty of crab roe added a crispy texture and nutty richness — it was the kind of flavor that makes you want to keep drinking.

Tartar chicken nanban: the filling dish to finish on
Last was the more filling dish, tartar chicken nanban! Crispy fried chicken piled with plenty of tartar sauce — the nutty, creamy combination worked really well together.

While the first two dishes leaned more toward drinking snacks, the chicken nanban felt like it actually filled you up — which I appreciated.

The three dishes each had a different style, so ordering them together and sharing made for a really solid combination.

Is Snack Bar Atashi a good Dangsan bar for a quiet drink?
This Dangsan izakaya, Snack Bar Atashi, had great food, but personally what I loved most was the atmosphere of the place.

With the cozy mood unique to counter seating and a real sense of Japanese style, it feels like a better fit for a day when you want to talk slowly over drinks rather than a loud, rowdy bar.

Above all, the three dishes I ordered — handmade black sesame mochi tofu, crab roe gratin in the shell, and tartar chicken nanban — were all delicious, so I left satisfied! If you're near Dangsan Station looking for a bar with great atmosphere or a nice izakaya for a date, Snack Bar Atashi is worth a visit. Next time I want to come back for the flounder salt gimbap or try other snacks :)
