The sirloin steak costs 38,900 won and was served medium, with a Budweiser at 7,000 won, and a Naver reservation secured one of Ravenna's window seats. Where is Ravenna? A second-floor ocean-view restaurant on Soho-ro, Yeosu
Ravenna is a Western restaurant on the 2nd floor at 279 Soho-ro, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00, and last order is at 20:30.
I visited Ravenna, an ocean-view restaurant for a Western-style date in Yeosu. The ocean view through the window was so good that next time I want to come before sunset and watch the sky turn colors.

This is a great spot when you're craving steak, since the sirloin steak here is delicious. They also have chicken steak, chapsteak, and pork neck steak, so there's something to order no matter your preference.

It's on the 2nd floor of the building, so I went up the stairs, but there's also an elevator so you can go up comfortably.

They cook fresh daily and use up ingredients the same day, so you can enjoy fresh, tasty dishes. The food itself was delicious, so this is a place I'd want to revisit!

I walked straight into the restaurant, and since it's an ocean-view spot, you can enjoy a beautiful scene whether it's day or night.

The best menu items are the hot seafood ttukbaegi (earthenware pot) pasta, gat kimchi pilaf, and chapsteak — worth considering if you're having trouble deciding what to order.
Inside Ravenna and how the window seats are assigned
The inside of Ravenna was spacious and clean overall. And the view of the sea was really beautiful. This felt like a Yeosu Western-style date restaurant that would be especially pretty at sunset.
There's radish pickles and gat kimchi at the self-serve corner, so you can take as much as you'll eat.
There's a restroom inside the restaurant that's easy to use, and it was clean, which I liked.
You get an ocean view looking outside, but window seats are assigned in order of reservation, so I'd recommend booking ahead before visiting. I made a Naver reservation before going, so I was assigned a window seat!
Ravenna's menu and prices

They gave me a paper menu, and it had a wide range of Western dishes from steaks to pilafs, pastas, risottos, and pizzas, plus drinks like soda, juice, beer, and wine. The house wine is 8,500–9,500 won per glass, making this a good-value Western-style date restaurant in Yeosu.
Bushman bread and the starter salad at Ravenna

After sitting down and ordering, the pre-meal bread and salad come out first.

They serve bushman bread with butter, which is a nice, clean way to start the meal. It's the kind of bread I'd normally take home from Outback — I never imagined eating it here in Yeosu!

I ate the bread with butter, and since it wasn't too sweet and had a plain, savory taste, it was easy to enjoy.

The pre-meal salad also comes out, and the vegetables in it were in great condition. I usually prefer meat or greasy food, but maybe because the salad was so clean-tasting, I finished the whole plate happily.
Budweiser for 7,000 won

Budweiser is 7,000 won. Since I'd ordered steak, I thought about getting a red wine, but ended up going with a cold beer instead. Beer while looking at the ocean view definitely hits different — the atmosphere is great, and it's a good spot for anyone looking for an ocean-view restaurant.
Sirloin steak, 38,900 won, cooked medium
Ravenna's sirloin steak is 38,900 won. It comes with pineapple, potato salad, whole grain mustard, and steak sauce on the side.
The steak was cooked just right at medium, so it cut easily.

The sirloin steak comes out medium by default, but if you have a preferred doneness, just ask when ordering.

I dipped it in the steak sauce, and since the sauce wasn't too sweet or too runny, it's good even if you dip generously.

When I occasionally got tired of the flavor, I ate it with the pineapple, and it's also good paired with the gat kimchi from the self-serve corner.

The restaurant was spacious overall, so it looked like a good venue for group gatherings or company dinners, and it seemed fine for private bookings too.

That was my review of visiting Ravenna, a Western-style date, ocean-view restaurant in Yeosu.
