Italian brunch near Hidden Bay Hotel, Yeosu: truffle pasta at Ravenna

A 4-day-3-night trip to Yeosu. One night at the Venetian Hotel, two nights at Hidden Bay Hotel — and during that stay I found a great spot near Hidden Bay Hotel Yeosu! Instead of the hotel breakfast buffet, we went for our anniversary and birthday meal at Ravenna, an ocean-view restaurant.

Every September we travel for our wedding anniversary and birthday — this year we picked Yeosu! Anyone else out there who got married on their actual birthday?! Having your birthday be your anniversary too is just so romantic! I washed my face in the morning and half-asleep put my shirt on inside out, and then my husband surprised me with a flower basket he'd ordered — I was totally moved!! Cried for the first time in ages, haha!

We overslept and missed breakfast at Hidden Bay Hotel, but had brunch at an ocean-view Italian restaurant near the hotel instead!

What are the window ocean-view seats like for an anniversary?

The moment you step into Ravenna, the ocean view through the windows is the highlight. It's a really great-vibe pasta-and-steak spot for a special-occasion meal. I really felt we timed it right coming here for our anniversary.

Of course you have to eat Western food on your anniversary! And is Christmas really coming up soon?! 100 days left until Christmas! Technically September 16 marks 100 days out, so right now it's 103 days, but Ravenna has such great vibes for Christmas and other special occasions. The 2026 Christmas reservation notice is already up, and reservations aren't accepted but walk-ins are okay on the day — good to know!

Except for pizza and steak, spaghetti, pilaf, and risotto are all the same price! There's also a 1.5-portion size available, which is great for big eaters or for three people with small appetites sharing dishes!

Starter bread, salad and the self-serve coffee bar

At Ravenna, even ordering just one dish gets you starter bread and salad! The bread is like the Bushman bread you get at Outback. Slather it with creamy butter and it's perfect for kicking off the meal!

The salad is generous too!

Ravenna's starter salad has plenty of olives, which I love. There's also an americano at the self-serve bar you can pour yourself, and there's ice, so anyone who needs their iced americano can enjoy it nice and cold.

Hot seafood stone-pot pasta and truffle oil pasta

We ordered the hot seafood stone pot pasta and the truffle oil pasta! As the name suggests, it's a tomato-sauce-based spaghetti served in a stone pot.

The spicy broth felt like it cured a hangover even though we hadn't been drinking! Being able to keep enjoying it hot all the way to the end was really great. The broth was so refreshing I kept scooping it up with my spoon!

A pasta loaded with mushrooms where the truffle aroma really shines. Ordering one oil-based and one truffle-based dish is basically the golden rule! We foodies made a great call. If you're going as a couple, this combo is perfect!
