Sokcho Korean restaurant for soy-marinated red crab: Jin Seiromushi

Jin Seiromushi is a Korean seafood and cypress-steamed-food restaurant in Sokcho, Gangwon. The red crab was sweet and savory rather than overly salty, and the spacious seating made it feel suitable for a family meal.

The tidy shop and neatly packed order left me satisfied.

Sokcho ramen with spicy broth and cold noodles: Ichiba Ramen

Ichiba Ramen is a Japanese ramen restaurant on Jungang-ro in Sokcho, Gangwon. I tried spicy Karai Ramen and cold hiyashi chuka; the former had a rich tonkotsu broth with balanced heat, while the latter had chewy noodles and restrained acidity. The compact dining room has counter and table seating, with self-service ordering, pickup, and tray return.
