No ocean view, but a great value spot for lunch in Aewol.

Traveling solo, the writer ordered the wood-fired Jeju hairtail-fish set (27,500 won) as a single portion, served with black rice, bean sprout soup, four side dishes, and a self-serve fried egg. One whole hairtail fish turned out to be just the right amount for one person, making it a satisfying solo meal in Jeju.
Jejju City Hall Branch is a small sushi and lunch box restaurant near Jeju City Hall in Jeju. The premium sushi lunch box plus 3 pieces of raw shrimp sushi were pre-ordered and picked up to eat back at the hotel, and with several kinds of sushi plus soup included, one box was enough for a full meal. Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is a black pork barbecue restaurant in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, known for the premium Nanchuk Matdon breed. A weekday noon reservation brought a 600g plate of Nanchuk Matdon (₩72,000), grilled tableside by staff and paired with matcha salt, wasabi, pickled peppers, and meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) served in a stone bowl. The chewy, dense texture set it apart from regular pork and made it the most memorable dish of this Jeju trip.

The writer picked up the Harubangne 8-flavor madeleine gift set (₩28,200) as a thank-you gift for the aunt who looks after her daughter, plus a ₩700 paper shopping bag. Free parking at the duty-free tower made picking up the souvenir easy in busy, parking-scarce Yeondong.

On a weekday afternoon with no wait, the writer ordered the Big Son Set (큰아들정식) and paid an extra ₩2,000 to swap one fish for tilefish, ending up with mackerel, cutlassfish, tilefish and cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) all on one table. It was the most memorable grilled fish meal of the whole Jeju trip, one worth bringing parents back to next time.
Handam Guksu Gwakji Aewol Branch is an ocean-view gogigguksu (pork noodle soup) restaurant on Aewol-ro in Jeju. Visiting at 3pm, the writer had sagol gogigguksu (bone-broth pork noodles), dongchimi bibim guksu, and palm-sized pork mandu, with a broth as pale and rich as gomtang. If you want pork noodles and an ocean view together in Aewol, Handam Guksu is a great choice.
