Sansol Sinnonhyeon is a Korean barbecue restaurant near Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam, Seoul. Even with a reservation, there was a wait of over 10 minutes on a packed Friday, but the pre-grilled pork belly, especially the juicy pork neck, and kkakdugi fried rice stood out. Verdict: worth the wait for the pork neck and fried rice.

I tried 500g of hand-sliced fresh pork ribs with barley shrimp soybean paste stew, half-and-half naengmyeon, and toasted bread with cheddar. A great-value choice with a clean atmosphere and an unforgettable rib sandwich combo.

Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi restaurant in Yeonsu, Incheon, inside Onesta Mall. We used Catchtable remote waiting for a weekday lunch and loved the 25,900 won premium sushi set, especially its yuzu red shrimp sushi and rice. Verdict: all three of us want to return.
